I caught the second-half after work , looks like a really young promising team!! The future of the club looks excellent! Kelleher and Colbert also got a game!! Both look like they need fitness + match practice so seeing them play tonight was good!! And 5-1 is a great result in the first round of the cup!!

Its entertaining stuff alright, and the fact you can drive in and out at half time for a bag of chips really seals the deal!

Is there a chip van in JP for the U21 games?

Who started for the U21 last night??

Well if you consider 2 to be a lot then yeah....and as for seniority, Robbie is just 23 and Colbert 22. Both need match practice. Where's the problem?

No van in the ground, but the 'whacky Paki' chipper is just behind the ground and theres always Luiges (spelling?) I think most of the crowd (40/50) went either there or the off-licence at Half-time.

I was very impressed with Jamie Enright, I thought he stood out as being an exceptionally good player. Mikey Collins got his first start and put in a solid performance at the back. Aled Harkin looked handy as well :ball:

Does anyone know if card's picked up for U21's have any bearing on the senior team ? For example if say Robbie Kelliher got a straight red for a reckless tackle on their keeper, would he be suspended for the senior team as a result ?

Suspensions carry through Senior and 21's fixtures.

What if lets say Gareth Cambridge 19 only a senior team player for us, got sent off in senior game 21s had midweek game, would that cross out the suspension.

joeSoap

No. He would have to serve his suspension for as many senior games he got banned for. If there are 21's ganes in between, then he must sit those out too. It would depend if he was a registered squad member for both the first team and the 21's as well.

If only we could sort out the linesmen, did you see him throw his flag at Billy Barrett?
