Is this on the Friday or the Saturday? Thought youz changed to Fridays, but the fixtures and results section on the official website (which hasn't been updated in weeks, admittedly) has it down for the Saturday.

It really shouldnt be so hard to find out when a game is on for certain . . . . . .

itl always be a saturday there was a reason why the rovers game was moved. Anyways there is nothing wrong with the tips of your finger. Its not that troublesome pressing a few buttons on a keyboard to find out the answer to your question.

well the rovers game wasnt the only game to be moved to a friday from a saturday - there was at least 1 other - probably 2

so it clearly wont always be a saturday

Which is what I did. I already noted that your official website is weeks out of date. I was aware you'd changed recent games and wasn't sure if you'd done the same for this one.

It's on Saturday. The last time a fixture was moved, Rovers, it appeared as a news article on our site. All games on Saturdays unless otherwise notified! If certain sections of the site need updating blame the inconsiderate webmaster who fecked off to Australia mid-season leaving his monkeys only half trained to replace him..

With the rain falling at the moment I cant see there being a pitch to play on.

They're getting something near biblical levels (http://www.met.ie/latest/rainfall_radar.asp?ani=y).

I just spoke to the Longford Town contact on the website - very helpful guy - who confirmed that the pitch is "..bone dry at the moment..." and that the forecast is good and he is not expecting any problem.

In the unlikely event of a problem, it will be announced tonight.

From what's been said, they're on Saturday by default.
