The new season will see many clubs switching to Thursday evening kick-offs. The full list of days clubs will play home fixtures is as follows.
Athlone Town - Thurs
Bray Wand - Fri
Cobh - Sat
Dublin City - Mon
Dundalk - Thurs
Finn Harps - Sat
Galway Utd - Sat
Kildare - Sat
Kilkenny - Sat
Limerick - Thurs
Monaghan - Thurs
Sligo - Sat

Thursday nights and Saturday nights were tried before.

Friday night is by far the best night for attendances. I hope they don't start acting the fool trying things again.

I must add though that it doesn't matter what night we play if the club is not reasonably successful.

If its true, I think one of the reasons is they hoped to get
students to go to games cos they'd have nothing better to do ...
despite Thursday being the main night out I cant see too many
'non Town' students leaving a few bottles of Buckie to watch
Athlone.

If it is true I cant believe the only home game of the season I
get to see was that rubbish game against Shels!!!! :mad:

Friday night under the lights it the only decent time for Athlones
games!!! mainly cos it suits me :)

They could always follow the Longford example and have a few bottles of Buckie whilst watching the match!?! Added bonus is that they would probably come back as they wouldn't remember how sh!te you actually were.... :)
