Did I hear right that a Sligo fans was told to taken down his tricolour at the Brandywell the other night - but his Scottish flag was allowed to stay?

It's true, and the reason for this is that its against club rules! The reason the club has this rule is because we have fans from both sides of the community and some fans may feel intimidated by these flags!

No, sectarianism isn't a scottish flag, it can be how ever considered to be sectarian or offenencive to 'the other side' if we have a ubion jack or a tri-colour in the ground!!
Lads' surely you must understand the world we live in, if you have any brains at all you will understand what the north is like compared to the south, in an ideal world i would prefer the Tri-colour flown at every single game whether it has a Sligo emblem on it or Celtic emblem, but, as some of you will know from being on our site, we have got fans that are protestant, and, im not saying for one minute they would all be offended by it, but some of them may feel intimidated..
