I know glen, always been a good footballer with determination.. When did he sign? Last saturday he never mentioned it anyways... Surely Cook and co wouldnt have played an illegal player..lol

A few points about his(and any other young lads) debut
-He was at right full, thats not his best position...
-It was away to Derry in the Brandywell..first half playing infront off a packed stand his side of the pitch, 3000 Derry fans.
-Hes young,20,not in full training afaik, rushed into the team..

Apparantly he was at fault for 1 of the goals, one poster said its an 'embarasment' that he is playing, what about the other 3??? Id ask that same poster this, Seamie was at fault for one, is he an embarasment?

Everyone deserves a chance, dont twist the knife just yet.... Some of the Rovers fans that post here give me the impression that they have never played a game of football at any level, with some of the comments made..

i doubt any1 wud say he was particularly bad but he shouldn't have been thrown in at the deep end like that. WE NEED NEW PLAYERS NOW!!

When I said he was an embarrasement to have in starting 11, I meant that to start a youngster in a match like that was an embarassement. My preferred option would have been Hutch and McKenzie CB and leave Coleman as RB. Glen should not have been in squad for a big game like that.

I went to school with the fella btw. I've seen him play footie lots of times, my point is I don't think he's ready for PD football, don't know if he ever will be but not yet anyway.

I think that lad sign e a few weeks back,I only after realising who he is.It wwas his uncle who told me a few weeks ago that he signed.assigning blame to the players is wrong on this one.the whole tean was out of sync.

It was an incredible decision by Cook to play McCormack. Raf should have been right back with Foy on the left. This is clearly an attempt by Cook to force the hands of the committee to give funds for players. Although, I sympathise with Cook and understand his frustration, his method is madness. We were the form team going into the Derry game and Derry were the opposite. This was a game where realistically we should have expected at least a point. I feel Cook jeopardised our chances.

I agree with you there Showgies. Thats why i mentioned it in one of the other threads that I lost a bit of respect in Cooke because of his team selections. You just put it in a better context showgies.

But that was because of Stephen Manson you said.
