I'd say real. Might have taken a few takes to get it but definitely do-able.

i think you can see at a point in the video, the ball turns from white blob to distinct football. that is the point where the computer generated ball comes into it. finally, someone or something whacks the camera over. cleverly done, and wouldnt have cost an awful lot.

About as real as the Ronaldinho one

Definitely fake. There's no way he could draw a circle that well on the camera.

I don't know.
I don't think it's feasible to do what Ronaldinho did.
Possibly after 1,000 takes.
+Ronaldinho would have celebrated and there's moments in that clip when the ball seems to disappear.
I'd say this is genuine
But i honestly think I could do what Rooney does there if i'd 20 or 25 chances.

I'd say you could do after enough tries.
My idea is when he runs away to get the ball they replaced the handheld camera with a bigger one, making a bigger target.

Well, if that happened, I'd be much more impressed considering the size ball he must have used.

its possible to hit the camera alright but he seemed to catch the volley quite well so would it not have made sh1t of the camera if it was real?

He could have been drawing on a clear sheet of perspex or something held in front of the camera.
But it's obviously fake. The ball turns CGI half-way through its trajectory and its velocity is all wrong for the shot he struck.

the nike symbol clearly visible at the end is too convenient for me. The ball should have been spinning more than that?
If it is real, then there must be a cut between him drawing the target and kicking the ball. I can imagine a film crew waiting for innumerable tries, until he finally hit it, but I cant imagine him having to draw that target so many times.

Yup, the symbol comes into incredibly clear vision just before it hits, and lingers a moment. Put, if he did hit it smack on, perspex or not, the camera simply would have cut out, it wouldn't have gone all VT distorted - it is quite obviously filmed on a digital camera. Also, he is unlikely to have been that quick back to the camera to pick it up.
As real as professional cycling.
Looks like a real ad to me.

ya its not real its similar to this(ronaldinho nike one)........http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsO6D1rwrKc
i reckon balls are been fired back over the bar from a machine similar to a baseball shooter!!...the amount of comments on youtube of ppl saying its real.... if he could hit it that many times then he could score top corner shots every time.... to even say anyone can hit a ball off a bar and make it return to that spot numerous times is stupid!!

Fake for the reasons GazinZac and Osarasun have pointed out, can't see how anyone thinks its real beyond ten year old Man Utd fans

Changed my mind.
I now agree with Gav, osarusan and Jebus.
The ball would be spinning but there's just a clear logo getting bigger.
It's a bit unneccessary as it'd be very possible to do.

Id say its real, after a good few takes he should hit it

I think he did it , its not hard to hit a target like that what they did was just added the nike ball over the original ball so the logo appears the way it does at the end

so he did hit the camera with the ball in one go in one take, but just to be sure, they also faked it at the same time by adding in a clearer ball, thus ruining the ability to proclaim "we actually bloody did this!"?

well they might have faked the lot im not sure but its not very hard to hit the camera they would have been very lucky to get the nike swish to be showing like that with out it being upside down or off to the side .

Little time for Shrek, less for Nike, but that is sheer brilliance.
