good, thought they should have just accepted it anyway, it just struck me as bad losers, they brought nothing to the premiership anyway imo

Absolute disgrace, spineless decision by the FA but absolutely no surprise, there's a status quo to be protected.
Listen for the silence from the FA when Tevez leaves for nothing in the next few weeks.

so what if he leaves for nothing? he kept them up, west ham stayed up on the field as far as im concerned thats all that matters

The whole point is they had an illeagal player which the FA did nothing about, so they didn't stay up "on the pitch" any more than Shelbourne won the league "on the pitch".

Yea but they did get 60 mill for staying up ! 5.5 mill plus there new money bags chairman its peanuts .

I think its a discrace they didnt own him they didnt loan him he should nt have been playing therefore he shouldnt have scored therefor they should have gone down.

But they cant change there minds now they where never going to .

Still it kicks in Jageikla's 4 mill release clause and he should be off to everton by the end of the week

I can't decide whether it's morally the right decision.

It was the only decision they would make.

West Ham had already been planning for the next season, as were Sheffield. They had the chance to dock West Ham points and they bittled it then. But there would be too much uproar if they'd sent West Ham down now and they were always going to save themselves the grief.

he was registered with west ham simple as that, so what if they didnt own him or loan him, the fa could have stopped his registration to avoid any of this but the bottom line is i am delighted they stayed up.

But it wasn't "as simple as that". That's the whole point...

I am gutted :D I am also gutted that Warnock, who resigned as manager in the expectation of a host of Premiership clubs wanting his services, is still out of a job.

My big beef with this whole situation is that The FA knew there was a dodgy deal straight away they knew it stank, the asked for more details in September last year. They then believed the West Ham legal director that it was all above board without seeing any documents to back up this claim!!!!!!
Once it was established in January that the deals were dodgy they pi$$ed about with the Tevez deal so much, whereas Liverpool signed Maschareno on a contract fully complicit with FA rules within weeks, why did it take until April for West Ham to get the Tevez deal straightened out.
The findings agree that West Ham deliberately decieved the FA & the PL but they essentially got a fine because the club was under new ownership (although the Legal director is still employed by WH) & the case only came to be resolved so late in the season it would have effectively sent them down which would be unfair on the Fans & players who were innocent parties.
Ignoring the fact that Sheff Utd were even more innocent and they are the ones who have fared worse from this punishment, I'm not sure how that last point stands up in a court?
The argument that there is no precedent made (by the slightly biased Alvin Martin, 469 games for West Ham) on talksport is hogwash. Middlesboro were docked points for failing to fulfill a fixture, what this ruling essentially says is "If you do not have enough players to fulfill a fixture but wish to avoid a points docking, simply play some ineligible players instead and you will escape with a fine".
A complete and utter sham and yet another nail in the coffin of a once great game.

Sheffield Utd brought absolutely nothing to the PL.

The FA have made their decision and dished out, what they think is the appropriate punishment.

Deal with it and start preparing for your attempt to get back into the league. Hopefully neither you nor wednesday will suceed and we wont have to go back to that horrible place.

Yes, they did. Their manager: Coco the Clown.

Don't you like decaying factories, tenements and working people? You mustn't like Liverpool either then.

Good to see the hoofers from Brammell Lane back where they belong, hopefully Wednesday can take our rightful place back in the Premiership before too long and the status quo in Sheffield can be resumed :)

Rather pretend that the Quo are Owls fans than listen to the Arctic Monkeys rattle on about how they support the Wednesday soccerball team anyday though :p
