Clubs across both divisions will be looking to bulk-up their squads over the coming weeks, after the transfer window officially opened on Sunday.

Clubs can sign players throughout the calendar month of July. And already they are getting busy in their dealings.

Galway United have confirmed the signings of three new players. Former Scottish Under-21 international Shaun Fagan (23) signs from Motherwell, where he made a total of 80 appearances in the Scottish Premier League.

The central midfielder will be joined at Terryland Park by former Dutch Under-19 international striker Yeboah Mensah, who scored 19 goals in 25 games last season for Leonidas in the Dutch Third Division.

Also moving to Galway is 18-year-old Daryl Robson, who last season captained the Middlesbrough Youth Team. Highly rated Robson also made 25 appearances for the Middlesbrough Reserve Team.

Cork’s Munster rivals Waterford United have signed former Aberdeen striker Willie John Kiely. The Blues have also placed Willie Bruton and Alan Reynolds on the transfer list.

He was, but has taken a year out to travel.

Not on topic but why is Chris Breen leaving? I'd have him back at Rovers no problem.

The Blues have also placed Willie Bruton and Alan Reynolds on the transfer list.

Two handy enough players in eL terms. Was it the wages or what?

Bruton in surplas to requirments even with our woeful squad we have better options up front, once Daryl Murphy left poor Willie was found out for what he really is. As for rennie hes generally been acting the akward bolliks for the past year or so and is rumored to have told the club a couple of months back that they could either pay the reminder of his contract and hed fcuk off or else hed sit around. Apparentley hes given 'tactical information' to a number of opposing clubs this year as well, but truth be told theres no real proof of that. The final nail in the coffin is the fact that cronin dosent want a past manager in the dressing room i'd say.

still though, i am expecting him back for at least a 4th spell as a player before he retires:rolleyes:

Useless. And an attitude problem. Kept telling all the lads he was too good for the division and should be back over in England.

Obviously never saw him play, but if had a cent for every footballer who got ***ked out because Dermot Keely thought they had an attitude problem...

True, our beloved Shero fell under this category, but Moran did have an attitude problem big time.

He did, he hated playing for Keely and Shelbourne.

As half full said, Reynolds was a complete annoyance this yr, glad to see the back of him. Giving other teams our tactics is jus wrong, scumbag!
As for Bruton, afaik, when he arrived he wouldnt train wit the squad so the manager wasnt going to play him!
