Would Sligo Rovers supporters be interested in playing a friendly against
a GUST XI at your astroturf pitch in the Showgrounds on Saturday 14th July ?

This game could be held at 3.00pm/4.00pm, to give supporters time for a few pints and something to eat afterwards.

Given the fact that both of us have Supporters Trusts, this would be an ideal opportunity to build links between both clubs.

Post here, pm me, or call Ronan Coleman at (087) 6972823 if you are interested.

You don't need to be a Trust member anyway. PD asked "Would Sligo Rovers supporters be interested" not just Trust members.

I contacted Conor H and ill ring Ronan Coleman later to try to have it all arranged by Wednesday. just need to know the specifics from the Galway lads as they are our guests we have to let them decide:p

We should have no problem getting 11....

Rory,

If you pm me your number, I'll call you in the evening.
Conor is out of the country.

I was thinking along the lines of eleven-a-side, shorter than
than the full 90 minutes, maybe 30-40 mins a side.

PD.

Whaddayamean, good luck to Galway tonight? If you had five of your seven houses on Drogheda to win the league, you wouldn't be wishing Galway luck !!

i want galway harps athlone longford in the top division for local derbies - not more journeys to places like dundalk drogheda bray waterford cobh etc- galway may be local rivals but it leads to more interesting fixtures . had a small wager on rovers to win the league last week at 150/1 with boylesports(stopped betting with paddy powers cos they sponsor moneybags pats) . am hoping the cookie monster can attract gudjohnsen and ryan giggs or the likes in the transfer window. unlikely but worth 20 euro
also looking at the derry city links it seems unlikely that ciaran martyn will be back this week as he is playing tomorrow night in norway and they are hoping to have him registered for 12th of july for champions league.

There's no point having 13/14 year old kids playing against men in their late
twenties and early thirties. The age limit is reasonable.
