Good luck to him.
Bad timing for Sunderland though.
They're done for already.
Suppose thats a good thing for Mick ie lower expectations like.
Should be in General Soccer.

Best of luck to him, hopefully there won't be too many self-important knackers making it hard for him to do his job!

Yeah, it's obviously a long-term signing. He hasn't a hope of rescuing them. At least he might shut up now he's finally got the job. Hell, tough as it is, it'll be even tougher if he doesn't get them straight back into the Premiership.

What's really funny is that he's going after Healy and Breen...

... how sad is that... Will Sunderland become the 33rd county?

Wouldn't take it even if you offered 1,000/1 after they lost to Bolton at the weekend. Sunderland are going down, it's a done deal.

And he's probably delighted.:D
He'll be happy without the pressure of having a chance of keeping them up.

Sunderland really need to beat West Ham (West Ham ahead 1-0 at the moment), and the 5 Live commentators are surprised at the tactics employed by Sunderland. "I expected Mick would get them to play some attacking football and change things around but they are playing 10 men behind the ball with only Kevin Phillips up front" hehehe Zagreb/Belgrade dejavu!

There are no self-important eejits in the English press protecting Mick now!

quote of the day

"As a club we’re in a terrible position. Why are we there? Because we’re the worst team this season - that is as plain as the nose on my face." - Sunderland boss Mick McCarthy calls a spade a spade.
