I know most of you don't know me, and, of those that do (at least online), many of you might not like me, but I don't care enough not to share my good news with you all. Too many double negatives, I know, but...

I'M GETTING MARRIED!!!

"Mrs" PP finally said yes! :D

No Catholic church wedding, no Irish honeymoon, but... whatever! I still of course hold out hope of my sons-to-be wearing the green and scoring hat-tricks against you-know-who! ;) (but I daren't tell her that yet...)

:D PP

Welcome to the club. I've got a wonderful wife, a beautiful daughter and a 2nd baby 'in the oven' due in October.

PS I missed  Galway United's last home game because of the mixture of all three above (wife sick due to pregnancy and 19 month old baby not sleeping too well lately)

But I wouldn't change any of it!

We did the registry office thing and it was great, people said it was the best wedding they'd been at - no one falling asleep in churches bored. You can custimise the R.O. wedding to your likeing. Ours was about half an hour. If you just go for the basic its ten minutes.

fair play to your wife bohs. must say that at least she wasnt a hypocrite like most irish women who want to get married these days.

really sickens me ( as i go to mass ), how women dont go yet they still want their fairytale church wedding. If i were a priest I wouldnt let them get married in the church.

Nah only not married in the eyes of a god we don't believe in! :p
If I'd got married in a church I wouldn't have considered it real, I don't recognise the authority of priests in anny other walk of life, why should I in marriage?

but then the priest and the church wouldnt make any money. if people ever realised they could have a nicer ceremony elsewhere, the bluffers would be right screwed then wouldnt they?
