Well done, Cork. We're used to decent results in Europe after the last few seasons but an away win in Europe is not to be sniffed at.

Well done cork!

Does this do anything for Irelands co -ef points?
Excuse my ignorance but who are Valur, where are they from etc etc?

Thanks.

No intertoto doesn't count for the co-efficient.

Valur are from Iceland.

Excellent result away from home. Cork should be home and dry really, even though they've still got the home leg to play.

Anyone know the reason why cork had no sponsor on their shirt in their european match at the weekend

Alcoholic drink ban i believe.

our main sponsors are Beamish, there is a no alcohol advertising ban. Hibernian and Leisureworld appeared as normal.

Iceland was good crack, if a bit dull long term. grand for 2 full days entertainment though, but 2 full days traveling was not ideal.

great away trip :)
pure pitch light the whole time

really really enjoyed it..

v v expensive though on a long term type holiday.. a few days over there was grand like..

valur were poor, one of the worst european sides ive even seen us play going back a while.. i think we controlled most of the match and never really looked that threatened tbh.

and god bless BA flights and them continuing the free drink on board the flight... 6 of those mini bottles of wine was the job too..
hell of a queue getting through Gatwick though.. barely made the connection to cork
