Just heard that Dolan's signed Robbie Griffin from pats (well he was released fromus anyway...)
Griffin has been the worst player at the club the last few years and when pressed as to why he always picked him Dolan replied that Griffin was a good guy and we needed more people like him in football....
This is almost as good news as Dolan going....
donīt know anything about the guy?what is his position?
if he is as bad as you say? why should dolan sign him

Have you been listening to us pats fans?
Terrible, terrible player. Midfielder from Waterford, played mostly at UCD

I thought he played up front for us mostly. That said, I didn't see him play for us so I could be wrong.

Shels signed Ger McCarthy, and apparently he was the worst player since sliced bread.
Don't worry - it seems to be the thing at Pats to downgrade every player transferred from the club.
In fairness most pats fans slagged both of those last year (notice nobody slagging Shay Kelly) I liked ger though. No brain but lots of effort and last year he was one of the few that tried...
Griffin is a different story. Totally useless

He's natural position seems to be centre of midfield.
He moved to Dublin for work and was basically offering himself to any club. He showed potential at St Pats but struggled with injury and never really found consistency.
He can lose his temper quickly and if he's not booked or sent off he gives away silly free's.
That said joining a new club may help him get back on track.
I haven't heard it anywhere else that he was signed to City though?
just a rumour. Might go to UCd according to one paper yesterday.
BTW can't remember him injured at Pats (nor indeed sent off)
got our goal of the year award a couple of seasons ago though
