Story lads,

Can anyone provide advice, info, or anything on Paul Van Dyk. I've heard a few singles and have liked them all. Not sure where to go from here in terms of albums mixes etc

Cheers K

He wouldn't be one of my favorite DJ's, but I have "Out There and Back," which is a double CD prog-trance mix from 2000 (http://allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=10:knfqxqrkldae).

I haven't heard anything since, but it's sort of a cross between Digweed and Oakenfold. It's an OK CD, fairly typical of the genre (similar sounding tunes that build up gradually, often with a somewhat cheesy femal vocal laid over the top); nothing really hits the heights of the genre here, but there aren't too many really bad tracks either. If you like the afore mentioned DJ's, you'll probably like this.

As said above "Out there and Back" is really about it from him. Everything else is average but it is one of my favourite albums. Check out some remixes of "we're alive" as well.
