London 2012 Olympic logo unveiled today. What an embarrasment, I nearly died laughing! It really does looks like Lisa Simpson giving head! :D Rubbish font too. Is this the best a world city can do?

Other terrible logos spring to mind anyone?

I nominate the Eircom logo. What does that weird shape actually mean?

The old FAI stick man/doggy style logo of course as well. The PFAI logo looks horrendous come to think of it too.

Friend who works there told me its supposed to represent the globe but with segments removed because we will never be whole - or something like that. Apparently they spend some hundreds of thousands if not millions on that whereas Telecom Eireann (previous name) was taken from employee suggestion box.

Its hard to judge the 2012 logo at this stage as might grow on us. I think its like that for multimedia purposes rather than just a static logo.

London logo looks like the SS symbol to me. I'm amazed no-one spotted the similarity at the vetting stage and vetoed it.

Apparently it was designed to fit compactly on a mobile phone screen.

Apparently they spend some hundreds of thousandsI don't know how much it was, but it was indeed a lot of money. And what did they end up with? The AT&T logo. Only orange.

And you still think the private sector is more efficient than the public sector? :D

It's on Newsnight in a bit, 'Lisa Simpson doing something unmentionable' according to Kirsty Wark.
So now they know, whoever's responsible. :D

The UCD logo (see avatar) has to be considered one of the worst logos for the unimaginable "UCD Dublin".

Hence the parodic STIG Graduate logo.

Oh, and UCD Dublin isn't unimaginable. Clearly someone made it up.

Adam, it's not a real AT&T logo unless it's the death star.

Yeah, but it's like someone putting

McDonnell
Donnell

on their family crest.

Anyway, once Fingal get their way and start branding themselves as separate to Dublin the crest will have to be redesigned for UCDDLR AFC.

No, no. It'll be UCDLR Dun Laoghaire Rathdown AFC.
