Well they already have Robbie Doyle signed up for the Window so really doubt it. Thinking about there squad the wage bill must be hugh and Thompson is quality so would be a hugh investment. Also sure Grant, Fitzpatrick, Fabio and Zayed would be on small money.

We turned down 150k last season, so unless there is a bid of at least that, then there is no chance. Do clubs down south have that sort of money?
It was just a rumour reported on a number of forums apparently, so just checking here(as it si the only forum I can get into from work) to see if anyone has heard anything.

Jeez, Robbie's turning in to the right old el journeyman now.
Can't imagine any el club willing to spend €150k. It'd be an awful lot and one would imagine Drogs need there money for their wage bill.

Well then I'm certain no el club would spend upwards of €200k in one go.

Yes he is and also a great chance for Pats to win the league with that headless chicken playing for them. Said it before the Drogs and looking like the new Shels.

Buying in loads of players. Compiling the league's biggest and most expensive squad.
Surely you can't argue with that?

It was QPR that tried to sign him and they were told to come back with a bid in excess of £250,000 sterling. How Drogheda can pay the wages on their gates at the moment is beyond me.Our budget for the running of the whole club is €1.2m id hate to think what Drogheda's is and the capacity issue must be putting a serious dent in their plans.

That may be ironic coming from a Rovers fan but there is an element of truth in it!

No because the contract is that we don't hand over ownership of Dalymount until Harristown is in full useable order and the keys are in our hands. So Drogs need not worry too much, if you end up renting off us you can look forward to a twenty minute trip up the road to Harristown when we move there! :D

Heard it but cant see it happening to be honest. As a mid season transfer he would probably need to long to get up to speed of the league here and wouldnt really be of much benefit in the short term.
Is Doolin trying to assemble the largest 1st team squad in LOI history?
Doolin has Grant, Fitzpatrick, Zayed, O'Keeffe, Ristilla & he still thinks he needs another forward?
If he bought quality players he would not need to keep buying more players.
I can't see Drogs coming in at anything less than 1m loss this season & still no guarantee of winning the league.

He does need a striker. Im surprised hes not after Farren.
Is Thompson not a postman? Most of them are on just E45000 approx per year so I would Drogs should be able to get him. Do they have a lot of post?
