Hit by the Sugarcubes. Bought "Stick around for Joy" album for €6 (previously had it on tape but hadn't listened to it in years). Hit is a fantastic tune.

...or Songs that possess an inate goodness which had been mis-remembered?

Either way can someone change the title of this thread ...the grammar is atrocious.;)

feck off lionel its only the "you" part for "ye" which is west of ireland speak. The "were" represents from their time of release and how good they were then ( and still are now ). The how could be replaced with "that are really good!" :D

Psycho Killer is brilliant - good choice.

Whenever I hear Safety Dance by Men Without Hats it gets stuck in my head for days - quality tune. I love the video of Roger Federer and a midget dancing around the place too.

Cracking song though, always puts me in mind of this one, the equally nifty Dance Hall Days by Wang Chung.

Just heard this on the radio, forgot all about it, but it'll be on the playlist for the week.
Brilliant tune, 'Coming Up' by Wings.
As Alan Partridge says, they're only the band The Beatles could have been...

It's spot on! :D
Plus I prefer to think the drummer is supposed to be Mick Fleetwood, though I think it's universally thought to be Ginger Baker.

Anyway, looking through Youtube later I came across this one. I did forget how good the song was, as a throwaway pop tune, but I really forgot how good the video was. Kim Deal is a scream in this, and it only reminds me why I've been in love with this woman for the last 20-odd years. :D
Oh wait, she can't be funny, she's a girl...

Anyway, Special One by Ultra Vivid Scene:

I'm sure we weren't the only ones but there was a kid in our class who's mother used to walk him to the gate of our school (Secondary) so we used to sing "Everywhere you go, you always take your mother with you". Cruel but funny.
