Anyone been watching it ? thought the scottish one was excellent and also found the one on yorkshire quite good.
Finally found out how the "casuals" got their moniker.
Disclaimer :- obviously have never been involved in football violence in my life nor do i condone it.

Don't you think that Danny Dyer is a complete and utter buffoon who is attempting to look 'ard by glorifying these idiots?

in fairness to him in the two episodes i mentioned above he is completely sh1tting it when he goes to meet all these hard cases and it shows on camera. He solely gets by on his knowledge of these "firms" ( obviously has good researchers) and by the kudos given to him for his role in that movie.

I've only seen a couple of them and I must admit I think he comes accross as a bit of a tw@T, that said I know someone who's met him a few times and reckons he's a sound bloke and that the 'ard geezer thing is just an act.
The last one I saw was ineresting for me with the Burnley fans, can't remember their Firm Name but I shared a train carriage with them during Euro '96... I was sh!tt!ing myself but they were alright, Irish bloke on his own, they had no interest other than to try & wind me up a bit singing anti-IRA songs. One of them did go a bit nuts with a fire extinguisher, fortunately was getting off at the next stop :)

Well in fairness if you were in a pub with a bunch of people who's idea of fun is to kick the crap out of people would you start to preach to them or call them idiots ??? of course not you'd pretend you know what your talking about get the interveiw done and get out .
It really is dying out now adays thank god , only ever had a incident with hooly's once, Wigan fans too FFS , cops had a diversion up and sent us around the back streets behind goodison came out right into a big stand off between the cops and the wigan fans being brought to the train station .
Its not really that scary with the amount of cops there but there still is bottles and stuff being thrown around .

Wigan fans, ffs, lol. Although Wigan is a complete dump to visit. Had a fair few incidents myself, only at aways though. In the last few season have been in crowds attacked by man u fans at OT, chelsea fans at the bridge (always lots of 1-1 scraps there) and a few years ago we played at Millwall on a Tues night and there was serious bother in the ground. Millwall fans were chanting about Hillsborough and how we should have died there, so it kicked off.
Anto is right though it has largely quitened down now. Any organised fighting is done away from the ground.
Watched those pieces on the Bravo website, they really come accross as brainless ****wits dont they. Thankfully lfc dont have a firm anymore and the days of stealing in europe are dead and buried.

These geezers are well naughty, int they?
What a clown.
Easy television to produce.
I'd imagine that they're not head honchos he's talking to anyway.
Just drunken wannabes.

He had some classic lines in The Football Factory like " i cannot wait to see your fanny." Ive seen him being interviewed on television a few times as well and he seems fairly funny.
On a more serious note though these kind of programs most definitly glamourise this sort of thing much the same way that programs like booze britain and toughest pubs in britain glamourise yob culture. It seems to be what people want to watch though.

I dont think it glamourises it at all , Looking at say the Burnley firm about 5 of them sitting in a dingy little pub ,with dyer talking to some miserable idiot that was saying his son want to be a fooy hooligan when he grows up . i cant imagine anyone sitting at home going oh that looks like a great laugh .But then again i am presuming these idiots are normal people .

It's clearly an act but is the 'acting like an 'ard geezer thing' an act? I mean, I wonder if Danny Dyer really thinks he is an 'ard geezer trying to fit in or is it all just his schtick for getting more work...?
Don't like him either way. :p
The recent spate of hoolie porn seems to have given the moronic youth of these islands something to latch onto with the rise of the bebo schooligan crews. Of course, these are almost entirely wannabe stone throwers but it still needs to be stamped out before they grow up and things get out of hand.

I remember going to a milwall game a while ago with a plastic paddy, and we went to the white lion just outside the train station, it was the first time i had seen this "guard of honour" by the cops and i found it slightly amusing, until we got to teh pub, where she left me to go inside and get the drinks ( :D for my safety of course ;) ), i waited outside as the pub was fairly packed, anyhow about 6 skinheads in burberry from near head to toe, with tatoos "bulldog" and the union jack on their heads stood in front and to the side of me. I wont lie, at this point I began to get a little worried, the funny thing was they kept asking me to move out of the way as they were trying to get into and out of the pub, wondering why I wasnt speaking. I kept my mouth shut, and luckily they did no more, but it was a strange and worrying experience at the time!!!
