Good idea and very funny !
Tuesday should be a quiet evening for Dublin's liberal intelligentsia, so no reason why they couldn't make it along. They'd probably get themselves a few fares on the way back as well !
Where is this beign promoted ? I assume there's a taxi Trades Union to tell about it ?

Possibly the most amusing PR masterstroke anywhere........... for any non-Dubs who may not get the inside joke, every taxi driver in Dublin bar none claims to have been a regular attender at Milltown.

All covered by the legendary Rovers PR machine. ;)

But sure everyone knows we did :D
Probably best promo campaign by eL side i can remember.
As mentioned above should be good chance of getting taxi in Drumcondra on the night of the game too. :p

No, I think you're confused - Shamrocks stole the wheel...then burnt it out in a field somewhere....

No, I think you're confused - Shamrocks stole the wheel...then burnt it out in a field somewhere....It was a tit-for-tat theft in response to their engine nearly getting nicked in Derry and therefore totally justified....

True Rovers taxi drivers should paint their taxis in green and white hoops.
It wouldnt look disgusting at all, although their engines might be at risk:rolleyes:

Flaming on the internet and waiting idly for a bite is a fantastic hobby...
You would say that.
Well done to Rovers. Hardly the most significant promotion the eL will ever see, but one of the most amusing.
In other news, anyone who can pass for the old UCD mascot, Colin, will be getting in free to our next game.

Its all one big numbers game, more people a club gets back or in for the first time, the more of them will become occasional fans, then regulars, then hardcore / members. Its not rocket science!

I was told this morning that Rovers asked John Usher for €2500 sponsorship for Monday's game to cover the cost of giving the Taxi Drivers free entry....he told them where they could go.
