Leave Conan alone. :p

You referring to his vigorous celebration of our goal? I'd just call that passionate.

Good to see players celebrating in front of the fans, which rarely happens. It was funny though as after all the players had started to go back into our half he was still there going mental!

On the contrary, I'd say that all the players who don't celebrate like that are the nutcases.

Hopefully some are reading this and we'll get some quality OTT celebrations when we score in Galway. :D

Top respect for that. Quigley was one of the few players who usually made a point of applauding the fans after the match.

Btw, does anyone know if Conan played right wing much at U-21 level? He's excellent out there. Not the fastest but his close control is very sharp and that enables him to get by defenders and into dangerous positions. Most improved player of recent times at the club.

I think he came through as a striker, but I wouldn't swear to it.

Yeah, got 14 goals in his only full season with the U-21s.

After David Last getting a hattrick for the U-21s I don't know if goal tally indicates any position at U-21 level. Conan looked like he couldn't cut the mustard at senior level at all when he came into the first team as a striker. I know he scored in the League Cup final but that was only David Forde.

A hat-trick is just one game. Conan was scoring consistently. And from what I remember at the time, he was a forward. Plus, he was a forward last year and the year before.

Tony Mac doesn't sweat - he vents heat through his hair. Hence the colour.
