don o´riordan ?????? jesus christ- the choice of the Mullet is bad enough but to consider a man who managed a relegated club beats all.

what makes anyway thinks he would be any good.

sucess breeds sucess. o'riordan is a failure:mad:

I think whoever the club brings in will realistically be working in another transitionary period although does not mean we can't hope for success at the same time.

I wasn't keen on O'Riordan last year when he seemed a popular choice but don't see him being to different from Rico at the moment. Don might drag a couple of good Sligo prospects with him too?

i see your point pete but we are always in a transitory phase one way or another.

it´s about time we won something.

with don we ain´t going to do a whole lot- it's a depressing prospect - a new manager who will take us even lower than gunther:mad:

I've heard better news, but the reality is the Echo is probably short on copy so is making it's mind up on all these things everyday. How many favourites were there for the ireland job?

Lennox isn't a gob****e that we know of, so he is going to try and appoint someone who knows what they are talking about.

Lads if he gets the job there is players that wont be to happy with this. But i think we will have a good manager at the end of the month. So lads just sit back and look and watch who comes in take over.

The Don should not get it. I would rather see Noel O ' Mahoney come back and take over.

RICO FOR CITY!!!!!

What are peoples problem with O'Riordan?
More importantly, what problem do players have with Don? Some have said they'd leave if he was appointed...

I saw todays echo and saw no speculation over anything.

I dont see that Don would be a bad appointment, but then ive heard many players would probably feck off if he came so thats the end of that.

I just wish Rico wasnt so damn proud and applied for the job, as I cant see Lennox pandering to him, or anyone else for that matter. The more i think of it, the more im sure its going to be Hill who gets the job.

:(

Ok maybe hill could do the job but he wood bring that waster with him and he is bad news for city and you no who i am talking about. YA YOU HAVE IT K----- i JUST CANT SAY HIS NAME.

That would be a disaster if that muppet came back.

All the same, imagine the possibilities for laughter.

I doubt that Hill would bring some of the Cobh players IF he even got a job. Surely he can see what kind of player he is.

I don't know how long Don is Sligo head man but he didn't entice Conor to stay with Sligo after he took a year off... You'd wonder why...

Thats because O grady signed for Cork in June 2001 and Don was appointed as Rovers boss in July 2001

I knew there was a small difference between the signings I didn't know if they overlapped... clarified

I wouldnt really have a problem with O'Riordan but if there are players who refuse to play for him, and seemingly there are, then he would be a bad appointment.

Rico has got to swallow his pride and just apply for the damn job because Lennox is NOT going to come looking for him. I cant really see why he wont apply, surely sending in an application for a job isnt that much of an embarrassment.

As for Hill, he would bring The Waster so that rules him out.

Well they don't trust their board and it's hardly a glowing endorsement of O'Riordans management.
I have to say, I'm very cagey about this guy......:(
