Bray seek Drogheda facts
Bray Wanderers have written to the eircom League for clarification of what was going in relation to the Board of Control in their examining of Drogheda United in relation to their membership of the League.
The Wicklow Green and Whites have also have also asked for information if all clubs complied with the criteria set in a letter from League chief Tommy Allen last December.
At a meeting of the three-man sub-committee of the Board of Control of the eircom League last,
information provided by Hinge Trading Ltd. which trades as Drogheda United F.C. was reviewed and felt to be satisfactory.
This information covered the areas as laid out by eircom League letters on January 21 and 24 concerning the status and liabilities of Hinge Trading Ltd, the company set up in 1997 and entity authorised as Drogheda United F.C. in the eircom League.
Despite their own current financial plight and the relegation, chairman Slevin was upbeat about the proposed development at the Carlisle Grounds. And expects to major a couple of major announcements about the project in the next few weeks.
'I would like to thank all the Bray councillors over the years for theo great work in helping retain the ground for football. With the lease being secured, we hope to have news in terms of the work programme very shortly' he said
n FAI officials visited Bray last Monday in connection with an inspection in relation to the UEFA club Licence. Former General Secretary Brendan Menton was accompanied by Bob Breen for the inspection
