Sopranos has 4 episodes left in the US, Scrubs is on going. Not sure if its coming back next year

It is, Zach Braff just signed a contract for the next series
Sorry meant to say "in its current guise". Talk of his best mate leaving, which would destroy it IMO

Ah I'd say he'll sign, but will probably want parity with whatever Braff is getting, which supposedly is one of the best contracts on US TV

Doubt that as its not really a ratings winner and didn't even feature on NBC's autumn line up. Only coming in whe others failed, opening up its slot again.

I found it odd when heard he had such a contract too, but apparantly it has more to do with NBC wanting to keep hold of him for a future project after the success he had with Garden State
Yeah that could make sense.
Anyway, back to the list...

New Michael Palin series out in a couple of months. Random touring of eastern Europe. Usually very enjoyable series.

Apart from the comedy shows mentioned already like Peep Show, the Boosh, Curb etc... am liking the new Bloody Hell It's Harry And Paul or whatever it's called - Jose Arrogantio is quality. "The referee saw nothing because he was playing with his penis." :D
Also interesting is Tony Robinson's Worst Jobs In History - the maritime one on lately on C4 was very good.
And Sky 2 and 3 often show re-runs of Big Ron Manager, excellent series, especially the real first one where they tried foisting Atkinson on Swindon and Iffy Onuora was having none of it! :D

Well seeing as how we're now adding older shows, I'd like to include FIREFLY. Sci-Fi at its absolute best, created by a fan boy for the fan boys!
Another old one: Freaks and Geeks. When oh when are they going to repeat that.

CSI (Vegas and New York). Both latest seasons (currently on five) are excellent, possible the best Vegas so far?
Studio 60
Sopranos (really looking forward to the return next week)
Got into the last series of Spooks - just acquired season 1 and 2 on DVD that we're about to start.
My two picks for best shows in last 10 years
I'd agree with Band Of Brothers, and loved The West Wing, of the shows that have finished. The Sopranos would also be in the last 10 years list as well.
The Simpsons.
Very funny
Honestly don't see the appeal of this show anymore, I haven't seen a funny new episode from them in the last 5 years, and at this stage I consider it one of the least funny ongoing tv series, which is a shame given the quality that it once had.
Another show that hasn't stood the test of time is Family Guy, looked back on Series Two recently and realised that everything South Park said about it was 100% true

Agreed. No coincidence that it's still appearing in the DVD charts several years after it got cancelled.
Of current shows, I'd recommend House MD and Boston Legal.

Disagree on Family Guy. Season three is the cream of its genre.

haven't seen The Colbert Report mentioned, can't recommed it enough, IMHO, better than the Daily show because nothing on the Colbert Report is serious whereas The Daily show frequently drifts into serious,(and dry) political stuff.
Haven't seen The Simpons, once my favourite show, in about 3 years, just painful too watch how lame it has gotten.

The Panel can be funny.
currently doing specials about the election.
Another old one: Freaks and Geeks. When oh when are they going to repeat that.
Excellent spot there Noby. I'd never heard of this until last year when I got a loan of the Box set. Good Stuff. Cancelled after 1 series though. :( As for favs over the last ten years(or so), there's been some excellent stuff, mostly American:
The Wire
24 (1st Series - when the idea was fresh)
Sopranos
West Wing
Lost
Our Friends in The North (Only English effort I can think of)
Agree with whoever it was hated CSI. Also include things like Law & Order, Cold Case and Bones in that. Too formulaic for me.
Scrubs
Heroes
Entourage
One Tree Hill
South Park

That was most awesome. You can find a lot of it up on youtube, but it's tricky to hold of it any other way - you can get it on region 1 VHS reasonably handy on the intersphere, but I've never been able to get hold of it on DVD.

Anyone watch Bodies ever?
Absolutely fuking brilliantly superb tension-filled drama set in a gynaecology hospital with Keith Allen to add Everest-sized mountains of humour for reprieve. Favourite line has got to be 'gynaecologist at your cervix'; an all-time classic.
Its second, and mucho malheuresement final, series concluded a few months ago on RTE (formerly BBC) but is available to order on DVD from a store near you.
The Blue Riband, or, ahem, maybe pink, of hospital dramas.
edit; I should add that your friend should not be pregnant

Ren and Stimpy.....
Was that the craziest cartoon ever made or what!
