Athlone Town
Bohemians
Cobh Ramblers
Cork City
Derry City
Finn Harps
Shamrock Rovers
UCD
Five Premier sides and three first Division sides left. Who do you want?
Hard to look beyond Athlone at home really, although I'd take Derry at home given our record against multiple-times reigning Cup champions down through the years. :)

I'd like Cork at home. I prefer to cut your way through the big boys to get to the final. That would also be around the Inter Toto cup time and with title race involvement and already having competed in the Setanta they'd be tempted to rest players.
My feeling is that Rovers will win the League Cup. Scully strikes me as a man who would like to make every effort to win it and Rovers are a well organised determined side that's hard to beat.

True. But I'd rather face the Athlones of the draw and actually make the final.

I prefer to cut your way through the big boys to get to the final.I have highlighted the potential problem in your tactic.

Shamrock Rovers have a terrible record in the League Cup. 1 Cup title in 33 years.

I think though we've only been in the League Cup for 28 years too.
