Well as a former frequent visitor to the Czech Republic I can attest to the fact that they bet on ELOI games and they are featured in the ads for their version of Bookmakers Offices in the local press. If anyone needs them I have photos( old style camera) of a couple of Czech grounds but I have no scanner.

A Spanish dude runs a Galway United website in Spanish. It is updated a few times a week...

Is that Sandro Solinas I wonder?
Remember him from a good few years back, nice chap, mad Galway fan. Be nice if he was still around the web.

Nope - Think Sandro is our Italian connection who delivered a forum called 'Into the West' and was in at the beginning of Internet Discussion Forums.

The Spanish lad was our only hope of staying in touch with the teams preseaon 2 match trip (to Spain!) & he did a great job.

Cheers MyTown, remember Into the West alright, and remember Sandro from the early mists of time, just forgot what country he was from! :D :o
That's it, I've put it off too long, am away now for some long-overdue ECT.

Sandro came to Ireland with his wife two years ago for a 3 - 3 draw with Dundalk. They stayed in my house for a few days.

I'm still around, permanently devoted to the maroon army, and very happy to see somebody still remembers about me (and Miguel, the Spanish lad). In September it will be 10 years I set up the ITW website, can't believe it hasn't changed a bit since the beginning. Last December I was in Ireland on work commitment and I found time for a very quick visit to Terryland Park, again I stayed with Paddyfield nice family and I really felt like at home. Pity it was the winter break and no match was on. When I play 5 a side soccer on thursdays I am aware I am probably the only human being of this planet wearing a Dublin City FC jersey! Keep in touch, ;) slan!

Eircom League Czeched out

IT seems that the Eircom League's popularity is spreading across Europe although for slightly unusual reasons.

An eagle eyed foot.ie user has stumbled onto a website from the Czech Republic where the league is being discussed by betting experts looking to make a quick buck.

Follow the link from http://foot.ie/showthreadphp?t=60048 and practice your command of the Czech language through the medium of domestic football.

So which one of you is Daniel McDonnell:confused: I have a sneaking suspicion that it may be mickdlk. :)
