It looks as if Alan Matthews is really building a squad here... If Kirby and Avery get two year deals we will have a significant number of core players on deals which for the time being will lead to a settled side... we've come along way since Stewie and Macca walked out...

Digger
Avery
Kirby
Brian Byrne
Eric Lavine
Seanie Francis
Pip Keogh

are on two year deals...

Great news about John and Kirby..... But what of the defence - whats the story with Barry, Silke and Dillon? If we can get those three on similar deals we'll really be set-up......

So just one more midfielder to sign....

Also, it'll be interesting to see who's going in the squad trimming that must take place..... who's going?

My List of those that should/ could be cleared out:-
Savic
Robinson
Wes
Prunty (Maybe)
Crow
One of Vinny (hate to see it) or Sheridan (love to see it)
I'd also expect Holt to go permenantly.

Squad:
Digger
Cassin

Murph
Dillon
Barry
Silke
John

Kirby
Keogh
B Byrne
Vinny
Gary Murphy
A.N.Other/ Sheridan

Lavine
Francis
Adrian Murphy
Mulvihill
Barrett

Given that we've a few flexible players in that squad like Keogh, Francis etc....

Having secured Keogh, an attacking midfielder would be on my list.... Don't really know much about him, but I assume he fits the bill for us Villa rejects team ;)

getting three first team games last season can't be a bad thing...

When Digger hangs up his gloves, we could replace him with calamity James...
