Timmy got a hat trick against Longford, Fran Moran scored one and I can't remember who scored the other.

The abuse the lineswoman was not on. The lumpy longford centre half, especially, was a disgrace. No way that level of effing and blinding would have been roared across the pitch at a man.

Was it Damien Kelly? He's played about ten times, but over the past three or four seasons.

No, Michael Kelly. The spiting image of Ronan Finn.

he is similar looking to finn so it is probably michael. has anyone seen him play before?? when is the next u21 game anyone know?.they seem to be more interesting than the first team matches.

Pats away tomorrow, in what should be the last game of the season.

You mean the regular season. There's the seemingly endless playoff part to come.

I thought it was obvious what I meant.

And it's been changed to Monday now.

Anyone going to inchicore tomorrow? I'll be there anyway - the last 2 u21 games against pats were good with a decent crowd.

I thought Damien Kelly was gone?

If College's Under 21's make the seemingly endless playoffs and do well in them it is conceivable that an Under 21 game could be the last ever competitive game at Belfield Park.

Won 1-0 tonight - Pat's first defeat of the season. They missed a last minute peno. Now all but guaranteed to top the group. Which I think could be a first.

I think you misunderstand the word 'rarely'.

Tony Doyle scored for us against Pat's, who had Robbie Horgan in nets apparently. We scored because he was too fat to get to a lob.

If the tables in the U-21 section are correct (with one more result for each of us), that results means we've won the group.

Schumi

I think you missed the 1-0 win over Longford in your table so the table there is correct afaik.

Dundalk at home in the round of 16. Repeat of last year's game. We comfortably won 4-0 then against a Dundalk side full of 16-18 year olds. Our team then was pretty strong, with Conan Byrne only making the subs bench.

We scored because he was too fat to get to a lob.

That's a bit harsh, it was a good quick shot! he could have done better but the shot was unexpected.

I thought it was great to see a game where the tackles were flying in for a change. A few injuries perhaps and the lads on both sides were bo11oxed after it, but compare that to the sh1tfest at Croker tonight and there's only one winner.

First game pats have lost all season and a good backs to the wall performance in the second half. Would be nice to keep it going through the playoffs.

Won 2-1 after extra time.

Odd game, we had the ball for about 70% of the first half but could easily have gone in 2 down. Forsyth equalised with about 20 mins left after the ball was blocked on the line twice. Paul Murphy (I think) scored the winner in the first half of extra time.

Paul Murphy (I think) scored the winner in the first half of extra time.
It was Paul Byrne.

Any danger of seeing a starting line-up?

Schumi
01/11/2007, 9:23 PM
It was Paul Byrne.****, wrong in tomorrow's programme too so. I thought it was Forsyth that headed it (from the other end of the ground) but was told it was Murphy.

Any danger of seeing a starting line-up?Little chance of a full one I'd say! Brennan was in nets, McMillan at centre back, Gallagher at left back, Forsyth and Paul Byrne up front. Tony Doyle was playing too but I'm not sure where. Didn't recognise the rest afair.

JR_Ewing
01/11/2007, 9:52 PM
Ger played left wing. Stan played centre back. Timmy played right wing. For some reason my mobile isn't connecting to O2 at the moment but once it's working again a starting line up won't be hard to get :D

Decent performance.

Not 100% sure of line up but I think it was:

keeper with blond hair (not Gregg)
shaun (went toff after 20)
Evan
?
?
Timmy
Murph
Tootsie
Killian (went to LB and Fran came on)
Paul B
Forsyth

very impressed by:

Paul Byrne - super touches - looked lively
Evan - top drawer - captain of the future
Very impressed with Murph and Tootsie in centre mid
Killian

We should have scored a hatful - Rovers had no real chances, one or two half chances but we looked solid.

Billy Brennan
shaun (Ger O'Callaghan 20) (Fran Moran 60)
Evan McMillan
Pat Mullins
Stan
Timmy Purcell
Paul Murphy
Anthony Doyle
Killian Gallagher
Paul Byrne
Darren Forsyth

ger came on for shaun and killian went left back with stan switchin to right back but then ger got injured some time in the second half and fran came on for him

Galway have the u21 semi-final set for saturday (http://www.galwayunitedfc.ie/u21/u21-side-set-for-college-test.html) - any idea if this is confirmed and a kick off time (Leinster play Leicester in the Ken Cup at 1.30 pm in the RDS)?
