Glad i didn't get one then. The lad beside me ate one, i asked him what it was like as i was thinking of heading out to get one. 'Like a laxative' was his reply.
Got one a few weeks ago and it was alright. We had the best chip van in the league but got rid of it, and replaced them with these hot dog/burger thingys. Just to give us something to oan about I believe

have to concede the gypos this one.
Totally going off topic but Burdock's is the most overhyped thing in ireland. Soggy chips, horrible fish...

Burdocks is great.
Worst food at an EL ground in a while has to be the overpriced burned pizza slices at the Carlisle.

Worship at the altar of Luigi's in Longford folks. Now that's a proper chipper. :)

Nonsense. Burdock's at Dalymount offers the finest quality fish and chips of this or any other generation. They are no more overhyped than the football team that plays in front of them.

This lad speaketh the truth!
Always make sure we stop off there before getting back on the bus after a few pints in the town before a game in Longford!!!

We're opening up a separate debate lads. As fine as luigi's is, (Its no europa in Monaghan BTW) we're talking about food in the ground. None in Flancare the last couple of times so Longford looking at relegation on that score. Have Shels replaced Burdock's yet?

Dont we normally have a chipper van? Havent been to a game this season so Ill be gutted if we've taken away the van. Boooo if they have.
They've taken it away Pauro. made more than one portly saint angry last time out. It wasn't there for the last game of last season either
Cheers DvB, just heard a rumour it was gone. Obviously rubbish...

Oh bray is by far the worst, absolutely rank, and im not a fussy eater. DISGUSTING!!
Best in the ground is mons, the mon dogs are a class apart in the hotdog industry.
Best outside the ground is drogheda, me and a mate were locked and rambling up the street looking for an atm near united park when we came across a little piece of chinese paradise. Had this chinese take away with prawns the size of a babys head. Oh and cheers to the drogs lads that pointed us in the right direction.

the one in the showgrounds is shockin
Drogheda hot dogs have always been my personal favourite. Proper sausages, not those poxy orange frankfurters. Wasn't up there last season so hope the food is still as good for our next trip up.
Burdocks vans in the grounds are rubbish compared to the actual chippers. The food is way too greasy.

Burdocks is still in Tolka, hopefully nobody tells them they are going to be at the ploughing championship instead on Friday evening:D
BTW the best burger is in Finn Harps' ground ;)
best chipper is in Monaghan (cant remember the name). A small chips would feed a moderate-sized african country for a week.
Hard to beat burdocks for an "inside the ground" eatery. The Big Chipper. ;) :D

jaysis lads what has it come to that you eat at football grounds!!!
Seriously how can anyone be hungry enough to eat that **** at any ground (bohs included). In Sligo on sat i went to Centra to get a roll rather than have to buy something inside the ground

Europa isnt even as nice as the Monte Carlo tho. And they take forever but their Kebabs are nice.

You could be talkin bout one of 4 there, Europa, Monte, Tommies or Francos. Monaghan has the best chips in the world (thats why Foyzer & Lestor loved our town!) My dad owned a chipper here in late 70's early 80's that started the great food revolution in town! Monte's vinegar is the nicesest I have ever sprinkled on me chips.

What are the prices like around the grounds out of curiosity??
Fella at the Dundalk game was trying to charge €5.50 for a burger and can of coke
Sell many?? He's lucky he wasn't lynched

A MonDog is €3.
I'm usually somewhere between half drunk and catatonic so can't really help you Lim...
Just on topic here, isn't it part of licensing that hot food is available to home and away fans? I think thats the reason for Pats getting rid of one chip van and replacing it with several hot dog/burger stands
Danny keeps threatening to do up a full review/analysis of each ground's offerings
