Assuming we will have no difficulty in the re-election process it would be nice to see a hive of activity during the close season at ATFC.

The public need to be made constantly aware of all developments behind the scenes on the team front and club strategy, stadium etc. This will need to be communicated through the media weekly. Come on Athlone Town, raise by 100% the club profile, let's get the PR stuff done.

I'd love to hear peoples opinions on this?

I said it before and I'll say it again, with a little bit of more support for Jimmy from the management committee and a well defined strategy we could have easily won this league this year.

re the pro bit i agree wholeheartedly but re the Winning the league easily with the current squad and committee i say wake up and smell the stench.
For a club like athlone to seek re election is an embarrassment!
Icant remember if ever it has happened before.

cheers

I agree we could not win with the current squad; when I say the lack of support from the management committee, this is in regard to unwillingness to strengtening the squad and supporting Jimmy.

Just to emphasise the point and I think DIDO is touching on it, the PR needs to be active throughout the whole close season. Looking forward to the Westmeath on Wednesday to see the latest comings and goings.
