Well that's a turn up as Italy were expected to get it , still we better start booking flights as all the Poles over here will get all the cheap deals .

Poland/Ukraine to host Euro 2012 ahead of Italy and Croatia/Hungary.

Bad news for us as takes up 2 qualification places for the second level teams. Also the appeal of Gdansk and Kiev are not up there with Milan and Rome

Sure don't worry about it. According to Stan we're building for 2010 so we should be absolutely lethal by 2012.

Don't understand why this is in fan's forum. The main point I was trying to make was its imapct on our ability to qualify

It's going to be tough but who knows what we'll be like in 5 years time. I think the fact that Uefa wants to increase the European Championships to 24 teams means that we should have a great chance of qualifying regularly...on the downside it'll make it very difficult for us to ever host these events.

If Italy was rejected because of instability(footballwise) then what of politically Poland which has the most fascist govenment since the 1920's with protests getting stronger there and Ukraine which may break out into civil war this year !
So dont write off Italy just yet
Also the Croat Hungary axis got a grand total of zero votes.The San Siro and Olimpico could be needed yet.Maybe Poland will have ditched the demonic twins by then.

Exactly what I was thinking.
Also, Polish football is riddled with corruption and hooliganism at the moment. Moreso than in Italy. So, if Italy lost out because of that....well then thats a bit rich!

jaysus between south africa. ukraine, and poland, uefa and fifa dont seem concerned about fans safety at all!!
