Either the stand or a big money transfer to Queenstown.

I feel Deccie should opt out gracefully(?) while he still has some bit of dignity left to preserve. The man IS a City legend AND absolutely the most inspirational captain City have ever had, but, every dog has it's day. Pity Deccie hasn't realised that sunset was a long time ago.

Everyone seems to agree that Deccie was a great player in his day, why not keep him on in some kinda coaching role.
Teach the younger lads what he knows etc. I suppose the reservation I, and most others would have it that it might seem like jobs for the boys, but I do believe that he has alot to his game that he could teach others

There might just be something to this, especially as it's impossible to be as inept as Gunther. Psycho captained City for long enough so, if he can pass some of what he's learned on, then why not?

See now, that's the problem. Too many people willing to forget Deccie's Hall of Fame merited contribution to the club.

Well we might get onto remembering all that, if he didn't still play.
Decy is as you correctly said a legend but we would like it to stay that way and not have him remembered for the bad seasons at the end.
I think he´d be handy to have in the squad or in a coaching role. If he was to be in the squd it would be on the basis that he was only to be used in dire emergencies, which I doubt would happen, so I guess retirement (from playing) is the way to go.

Thats what i would thought he best position this season.
IMO keeping Daly on next season would only deprieve a replacement or even youth player getting a squad place. Lets face it Deccie is only going to get worse. With full non-winter season his lack of pace will be even more noticable.

point I was making was- that would be an ok position for him if the manager was going to stick to it- reality would be him getting into the team more often than necessary.
Who let Liam Murphy vote twice?
