...Have both been released from what I've read on another forum.

Will they head back to UCD,another club, or stay in England? Were they ever good enough for the Championship?

Dicker was only on loan so he will be back at UCD for now anyway.

Do you have a link?

Kavanagh wouldnt be a bad signing Id say but he's only been playing pro football for a few months.

They've both been playing regularly for the reserves - Kav scored on Tuesday - and there's three games to go yet, so I wouldn't have thought they'd've been released yet?

There's nothing on the Birmingham website or the forum about it either.

Both players have been with two different clubs in the last year. They won't be playing anywhere else until July (don't think they can until the window opens anyway). I can't figure out what the story with Dicker is. He was out of contract last season and was on trials at English clubs and next we heard he's on loan at Birmingham. I assume he signed a new contract. I heard a rumour the club will be letting him go for nothing.

Kavanagh was on the books at Bohs before he went to Wayside. By the accounts on the Birmingham website he's been doing very well with the Birmingham reserves and he did very well in his stint in the Premier Division with UCD. He'd be an excellent addition to any eL squad. Given that he played as recently as Tuesday for Birmingham reserves I can't imagine he's being released.

Are they any good, can either play right back?

Yes and no.

Kav signed a six-month deal in January, and Gaz is on loan until June, so it doesn't really make any sense to release them now either.

It was posted on the Kildare County forum. I doubt there's any truth in the rumour.

Whatever about Siempre being a bit mad, he knows his stuff when it comes to underage teams and reserve teams in Engerland. Hopefully they do come back.

That may be the case but I'm not going to take his word on it until he gives some sort of source. Regardless I'd say they will end up getting released in July if Birmingham get promoted.

If it was siempre posting it, I'll ignore it until I see it elsewhere. That lad's a grade A moron, to coin a phrase.

It probably will happen, especially if Brum go up, but I can't see anything happen before June for the various reasons given. Whatever about Kav, I'd say Dicker will try for another English side.

Both started tonight as Birmingham beat Sheffield Wednesday 2-1, Mikael Forssel scoring both. They are now hot favourites to win the league. Kav played 90 minutes; Dicker was subbed after 78.

Was that with the first team or the reserves?
