Never, EVER (again, preferably) write Munster off! To the man that said Saturday was going to be Munsters last Heineken Cup game this season, just one thing::p :p and :p . Bet ye don't see an atmosphere like that in Donnybrook too often.:) :)
PS: this just seemed the most appropriate place to post a little Red glorification!

And I'll be more than happy to cut AND serve you a REALLY, REALLY BIG slice of it.
Toulouse, f***ers did us a MASSIVE disservice, I was really looking forward to knocking Leinster out. Ah well, I'll just have to wait for the semi-final, unless Biarritz pull it off! :p :D

You may just about have been forgiven for saying that before the match on Saturday, but, NOT NOW!! Munster are very much THIS year and might just do the Celtic League/European Cup double.

No offence, James but, butt out will ya? You nrver have anything constructive/intelligent to say, so you'd do yourself ALOT more credit if you just kept your BIG mouth shut. This IS the off topic section for, you've guessed it, off topic discussion/banter, a little of which I'm having.

4 from you, and ones from macy and me both with rugger out notions... the only other post has come from schumi
wheres this 'banter' you speak of :D
seriously like if you want intelligent rugby analysis and debate you stand a much better chance of getting it, not in the off-topics section of a football forum but from a rugby forum :D

James, please go away. If I want to have a discussion/debate/laugh etc about rugby with another forum member eg Schumi, I'm entitled to. As this is the off topic section, AND nothing offensive is being posted, I don't see what reason you have to get so uptight.

I can't see what you're complaining about either and I have very little time for rugby or Shed End John! (though his website is nice)

I fooking hate egg chasing.
SEJ, you say... "If I want to have a discussion/debate/laugh etc about rugby with another forum member eg Schumi, I'm entitled to.".
Well yes of course your entitled to but it is only with ONE other forum member. So maybe ye could have ye're little bit of banter using the wonderful PM system or, better still, find a Rugby forum. :)
Even for anyone who hates rugby be hard to deny saturdays performance by Munster wasn't heroic.
While i watch & have been to many Munster games it of course wouldn't have the same pull as a city game.
Rugby is essentially an elitist sport although Munster would be one of the few excepts of having ordinary supporters.
Having been in bars in Cardiff for the ERC final must say i'd prefer to be amount scummiest opposition football fans than be amount a bunch of english rugger buggers.

I have to disagree with ya about rugby not having the same pull, because in its own unique way it does.
The evidence to be found at most games now makes the 'elitism' of rugby a dead argument.
I also disagree about the 'craic' in the bars. There's always a certain not too distant line you NEVER cross with soccer fans, yet, talking to the Cherry and White fans after Saturdays match, they could dish out an unmerciful, but good-natured, slagging AND they could take it too.

OK, picture this. Munster, with very iffy form up to last Saturday in the Heineken Cup, faced Englands best club team and H. Cup favourites, Gloucester. A 27 point win, plus outscoring Gloucester by 4 tries, seemingly improbable at the time, was the least that was needed to advance to the 1/4 finals. Munster managed it through a display of pure spirit, steel and grit. They even kept Gloucester scoreless for 56 minutes of the match. Pretty heroic I'd say.

Can't comment about that but a lot (not all obviously) of the Leicester supporters in Cardiff came across as arrogant tossers.

Couldn't agree more, judging by the stories I heard afterwards. Still, it's just one more reason to take them down a peg or three at Welford Road on the 12th April!
