"Been There! 0 people have been here. Have you?"

Doesn't bode the best…

Will this be an election issue?

I see Joe Costello (https://www2.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=33871067&postID=115742287462326384) jumped on the issue last year but been really quiet ever since.

He seems to be claiming he is a Bohs supporter... is this true?

Joe Costello is a Bohs member, AFAIK.
A few of the local Labour reps did a little ritual jumping up and down about Phibsborough losing this fantastic amenity, but silence was resumed when the discussion moved on to how they would propose keeping the home of Irish football as a stadium.

what disadvantages does being so close to the airport have?

i know the plus is good transport etc.... will the close proximity be a down side in anyway????

It could mean serious curtailment of high balls, which will badly affect some teams' (you know who you are) game plans.

Well for anyone going over to England for a match they'll be flabbergasted when they look out the window and note that there appears to be a match of some description going on below them;)

We're going to have "you can shove your English football up your @¬$€" on the roof of one of the stands and "F--- Off Rovers" on the other. All the Blackburn "fans" will be wondering what they have done to recieve such treatment! :D :ball:

I asked Joe on the doorstep the other night (as a concerned resident of course) I pointed out that the area development plan envisages Dalymount as a sporting amenity and as part of the area's heritage. He said he agreed with that and he'd still be trying to stop Bohs moving. Good man Joe. ;)

Its too late for that now, its signed and sealed and he can object all he wants but the developer will just sit on the property until people are sick of looking at a delapidated stadium.
Having said that no Bohs fan should vote for this prk because of the stance he took.
I'll have to have a word with Mick Murphy in Tallaght see can he get the council to let Thomas Davis in! :p

This is good news. I look forward to seeing his plan, and in particular the budget and timeline, as to how he intends to keep Bohs at Dalymount.
In the meantime, excuse me if I don't set too much store by what you say he says he's going to do on the basis of a conversation on the hustings.

Sweet Jesus lads, I wasn't being entirely serious, as the smilie might have indicated. I did ask Joe about it and I will be gutted that Dalymount will be lost as a football ground but even I'm not that bitter FFS.
