Ya as far as I know that’s the target (Pats Sat night), seen a JCB in the ground today working in the corner between the shed & the stand. Looks like they are working on the base for the pylon.

Just for the record Pats fans would prefer an afternoon kick off for travelling

I'm sure that means something to you ;)

St. Pat's game was the original target to have the lights up by but I heard it's a 6pm k/o on Sunday, so not fully sure.

6pm? FFS make it before the last train if you can't have it under lights

The foundation bases went in yesterday for the floodlights. I was told it will take 2-3 weeks for the concrete to set properly, before the pylons are erected. So it's safe to assume the Pats game will be on Sunday.

Its a ridiculous time of day on a Saturday to play a match. Heard Rovers wanted to play it a later time. Dont see why they werent allowed, doesnt get dark till nine o clock. Cant play it Sunday because of Pats Setanta cup match.

we better be allowed in the Jinks.....dont fancy being in the Main Stand.Going to be a hard game. 90mins non stop this week lads, not on and off like UCD. Expect to see the crowd of us in Drogs last week in the Jinks and more.

Very much doubt ye'll be allowed in Jinks. I'm say it'll be segregated!

feo123
18/04/2007, 5:17 PM
could we not go in the first part of the jinks stand and let the Pats fans walk behind the stand and go up around the other side of it? we done that before with away fans!

Midgit

Stick the pats lads up at the Railway end is what i would do!

Yeah, just heard it will be same as the Derry game. Pats fans entrance at the all-weather pitch. All Rovers support through the main gate.
So, it looks like St Pats only in the Jinks stand.
Any St Pats fans to give an estimate of travelling support on Sat?

i reckon we'd get into the jinks no bother if we actually wanted, sure the segregation versus derry wasnt even great because we had to go over to the away section anyway to go to the blue shop......and id say we'd get into it if we actually really wanted to...anyone think we should at least try it?

Midgit

At the Derry game there was a few Rovers supporters in the Jinks stand.

If I could make a suggestion on the segregation in Sligo, without getting into another row about what happened at the UCD match, the set-up you had for us didn't work to segregate the crowd. We had to pass all the Sligo fans in the blue stand to get to the shop and toilets. It would make far more sense to have away fans at the other end of the blue stand, near the shop. You could then allow Sligo fans into the other end of that stand by coming around the back of the new stand and through the terrace opposite where you come in. This would give you proper segregation while still allowing Sligo fans in the blue stand to make noise.

Yeah so don't go hassling them then!;).Yeah, they might flick their snot at you after they're finished picking their nose. :D
