Fair Play to Joe Cassidy from athlone on being
promoted to a FIFA standard referee assistant.

Hopes he gets a few high profile games soon.

You should've seen him refing Athlone matches.
Gave blatantly wrong against Town.
Presumably in case people would think he was being
bias for Athlone!!!!

Still though, the worst cnuts in the game has to be those
2 sligo toss pots Paul Deering and his **** of a linesman
Kieron O'Dowd. Pure lack of knowledge on the rules of the game.

Town put in a complaint during the almost promotion season to stop him refereeing any more Athlone games cos he's rubbish and
bias against us.
Although Im assured by Sligo supporters that they are brutal
when refing thier games as well!


Must run in the family, his brother lives in Athlone and was
(probably still is) terrible.

Heard an interesting story where by he was refereeing a match
in Roscommon and booked a player during the half time break for
telling the rest of his team to calm things down cos the ref would
give frees against them.
Then he tried to send off a supporter for shouting abuse at him!

Have to get JC to confirm if thats in his power ;)
