A friend of mine recently bought some items from Canada through a company website. The goods in all came to about £400 odd. Unfortunately he made the mistake of paying through Western union as the company did not have their own secure means of accepting cards. Prior to buying anything the company were extremely helpful, polite, efficient etc etc so he thought why not it’s a good deal and sent the money. To cut a long story short,(surprise surprise)he never received his purchase and has never heard from the company despite sending them several e-mails.

I hope he has learned his lesson but how many nieve people are scammed like this every day? The website is still there advertising their scam to even more vulnerable people. Is there anyway/anywhere to report this website and get them shut down?

It was some mobile phone website. He was an absolute tool to send money through Western union and he realises that now. Seriously, is there somewhere he could report them?

Can western Union not do anything , maybe not get the cash back but maybe tell you you got it , what they are registered as and where then report them to the consumer board of that country .

I am not sure of the website name, will ask when i next see him. I am certain that he has the address and phone number of the company but they deny all knowledge of ever having done any business with him. look's like he was totally done up like a kipper.
