Travelled to Enniskillen for the day on Saturday just for the change of scenery. I had a wonderful lunch in Wetherspoon's before taking some snaps around the place like Cole's Monument, the bandstand beside it, the War Memorial, The Clinton Centre, Mrs. O'Malley's Sweetshop, St. Macartin's Cathedral looking towards Darling Street, the banks of the Erne facing the Sligo Road and looking towards the castle and the two spires of St. Michael's and St. Macartin's. In the castle grounds, I got a picture of an artillery gun that was captured in WW1. The real bummer was that the castle museum was closed. I took in the second half of the game between Erne Rangers and Santos FC, which ended 2-2. I did some shopping in the Fermanagh Tourist Office and got some sweets and an icecream in the old fashioned Mrs. O'Malley's sweetshop. It was a good day weatherwise and Enniskillen is a pretty relaxed town. Would definitely pay another visit. It seems to me that the pub to be in is The Crowe's Nest.
