followed SIMON for last 2 seasons and it will stay all day so 16/1 a great bet and also OSSMOSES though price is drying up by the day and down to 20/1 in places. worth a few euro on each

I hope you know more about racing than Scottish football!

Won on Butler's Cabin at Cheltenham, should have kept the faith. Didn't back anything in the end, but was thinking of chancing Nine De Sivola e/w.

I had Church Island at 66/1 and the ****er ****ed up at the last fence. Should have done it e/w  :o

The 4.20 at Fontwell today go with Beauchamp Star

Right, tomorrow is the big race and while it can be a bit of a lottery it is important to think logically also. That's why I'm suggesting that Hedgehunter offers excellent e/w value at approx 14/1.

He's been there and done it when it comes to the National and has a 1st and 2nd to his credit so obviously knows his way round the course. He's also carrying a little less than he was last year. His form hasn't been great lately but form goes out the window for the National.

Others I'll probably have a punt on are Point Barrow (9/1) and Kelami (33/1).

Dun Doire at 14/1 for me.

Apparently isn't best suited to better ground....still they've said that plenty of times before and been proved wrong. I wouldn't take an early price on him anyway because if it's true he'll drift.

I've backed Dun Doire, Liberthine each way and Hedgehunter to win.

3 horses backed in my household, all e/w.

Hedgehunter
Gallant Approach
Monkerhostin

Not much research gone into it, just lucky dip!

Liberthine finished 5th and I backed e/w, do I win something?

Depends on the bookie. I don't think 5th usually wins on e/w but often extended for the Grand National?

I had Gallant Approach as an each way. Down from 100-1 to 33-1, got him at 50 but didnt do the business. My housemate, she never placed a bet in her life so i showed her the list of horses and she chose Silver Birch. The jammy lass just went and won it with her first ever bet! She did buy pints last night so all good! :D

What odds did you get for 5th place?

I was pleasantly surprised that got 11/1 with Gamebookers for 3rd place.

PP were 1/4 odds for fifth. Don't think there will have been many that backed the winner yesterday. The less said about Dun Doire the better... :o

The little sister did the exact same thing :p - must've been the word 'silver' that caught their attention, who would've thought that jewelery would've put money in your pocket  :D. It was her bday on Friday too!

Backed Mckelvey e/w so bad. Id backed Dun Doire earlier in the week, but changed my mind with the good weather.

Was in France for the weekend so didn't have a bet on it but entered a sweepstakes with a few of my mates. Didn't have a clue of the odds but my picks were Slim Pickings and Silver Birch!
