Although I'm sure it's very upsetting for the families and what not I have to say I'm absolutely loving the grovelling the British are having to do.

Crawling to the UN for a diplomatic solution when just six months ago they stood at their masters heel against the whole world

How the mighty have fallen :)

Contrary to what a lot of people are saying, afaik, the border along the waters is not disputed.
Obviously someones lying. Would be perfect timing for Iran to humiliate the UK ahead of any negotiations on the nuclear issue.

Their 'confessions' obviously hold no water. The Iranians should be aware by now that only western powers are allowed to force statements out of prisoners. Then Iran does it it's barbaric.

I'm actually on Britain's side in this (I feel Dirty Now)
the ship may or may not have been in Iranian waters but surely it was there on it's way to Iraq and not preparing an Invasion of Iran which by the Iranian actions you'd think they where

Wether it was or wasn't its no excuse. They wouldn't send their tanks through Iran en route to Iraq so why send their ships through Iranian waters. They were trying to provoke a response to justify future air strikes against Iran. This is why I mentioned the gulf of Tonkin incident which the US manufactured to justify sending regular troops to Vietnam.

Its fine to be on the UKs side but very poor reason. No one believes an invasion was been planned its just clash of International Egos. For PR purposes Iran needs even a small victory.

Now now Partisan, you and I know that in the current political climate there is no need for such a ruse as the gulf of Tonkin incident, America's Bible Belt need no justification for levelling wherever they please, whenever they choose ;)

You'd fit a fair few warships in there.
