Filling in a few questionnaires there and some of the questions have fairly blatant answers if you wanted to be the perfect employee such as
Is your punctuality
poor,
slightly poorer than most,
similar to most people,
better than most or
great?

You'd obviously say great but the thing is there's loads of scaled questions like this on things like
getting assignments in on time
how conscientous you are,
how you perform on tasks you are not interested in or challenged by etc etc.

The question is
Should I actually be honest?

Depends who's reviewing the questionnaires, if it's a psychometric tester you should; or at least that's what the gf tells me (she does testing). Apparently the test will show up any anomalies, so it's best to be tell the truth.

Apparently the civil service has a psychometrics department, so you should be honest.

Obviously saying you're always late isn't an option, but according to the gf people are generally very bad at lying on these things and it usually shows up.

If you're going to fib, keep it to an absolute minimum.

Whilst we are on the topic. Does anyone here work in Human Resources or on interview boards? I am curious as to what information is passed when an company contacts your previous employer(s) for references??
