Bad luck. Heard nothing yet hope it is good news.

Last time out rejections came out first. Not that it mattered in the end but a mate of mine was sure he had tickets until he checked his junk mail a few hours later and found his PFO. A colleague did likewise. Real bummer.

sussed it out myself....woohoo

Payment for “Follow My Team":
Please note that your payment for Follow My Team (FMT) will only be due if you are successful in the lottery and your team qualifies for UEFA EURO 2008™. Therefore, FMT payments will only be processed after the final draw in December 2007. We will post you a letter with all the payment details needed for an international bank transfer accurately timed.

You wont lose a penny. If Ireland fail to qualify your application will be cancelled and no payment will be taken. (assuming you chose Rep of Ireland for FMT! ;) )

Got my unsuccessful Dear John email today :( ..and my name isnt even john! :D

Got me PFO for my 4 FMT group tickets, no luck this year at all as with CL final but I did get 3 tickets for two games at Croker though

There were 6 of us that each applied for 4 FMT group tickets each to increase our chances so hopefully two of those applications will come up to cover us all (and the GFs and wives ,.....wags..., don't get in on the act, or more than two of them anyway). Will find out tomorrow (the lads are e-mail layabouts for even checking these things).

my own 'wag' applied for tickets too (on my insistence) and was also successiful but upon finding out the good news she was swiftly informed that the tickets were not available to her.... a personal PFO if you want!! :D :D

we better qualify now because i've gotten through the 'flying saucepan' stage relatively unscathed for once!!!

Just checked the UEFA site and found out taht I'd been allocated 1 FMT for the Republic of Ireland. Cost is €951.50 (I presume that includes the cost of a ticket for the Final  :p :D)

yep. and them people may be closer than you think :p

seriously though, as per your question about re-applying - the FAI is your only offical option for tickets in the event of qualification

Just checked there myself. Got 4 Follow My Teams.
Im glad to see that they are not making punters pay until their team has qualified. I was one of the unlucky ones who pulled in the lottery 4 tickets for our 1st 4 matches in the world cup. They took the money (nearly a grand) out straight away, and I didnt get it back until the March if I remember, even though we knew we werent qualifying since sept.

yup. unlike the world cup, FMT only apply until your team is knocked out. in the world cup, if your team qualified and you had a FMT to the final, even if they were knocked out, you still got to ge to the final. not like that this time, which is a damn sight fairer. and judging by the fact there are people on here who were unsuccessful in FMT allocations, Irish FMT tickets were oversubscribed, so the FAI point stands true.

Talking of that, how do the FAI allocate such tickets? Is it block bookers first, a lottery or what? I mean, would a waiting lister who know has seats in croker stand any chance of getting tickets? I didn't apply because I thought it was fifa-esque pay up front and, being a final year student, I'm a bit in debt. Anyone have 2002 experience?

Schumi

It'll be the same as away qualifiers I'd say: block bookers first, don't know after that.
