How did this work? Any adjustments to make ahead of the Czech and Slovak games in September?

Seemed to run fairly smoothly, although maybe the 24-hour free-for-all limit could be extended to 48 hours.

Anyways, feel free to post any comments and we'll make adjustments/improvements in September if necessary.

Worked fine for me, got sorted with 2 tickets for the slovakia match courtest of the generosity of Deniro
Towards the match day it gets a bit hectic on the thread for tickets, trying to follow it can be hard, people swapping and offering like mad .
Dont know how that can be eliminated though.

Thanks to Deniro once again

Yeah i agree pineapple if you increase the free for all limit to 48 hours that would be good. This time it worked well for me and i would like to thank Markmc for my ticket to the game last night..

You didn't help by never posting what happened with your tickets, even after I asked you in the thread and PM-ed you. What was the story with that?

It got a bit manic towards the end alright; that was always going to happen. Maybe if I deleted all posts which are reflected in the list, it might make it easier to see those last-ditch posts which mightn't get updated?

Nope - read the rules! Will start that thread in July, two months before the game.

I thought it worked fantastically well. I kept pretty much a daily watch on both threads and got sorted for both games.

Definietly extend the 24hr rule to 48hr. The main reason being people are anxious to get rid of spares as the game approaches so when they pm next on the list, they'd want as quick a reply as possible. If they don't get it - these tickets might be offered elsewhere and lost to foot.ie posters.

Just looking at the rules there - 48 hours is the time frame for all-for-all swapping, so that's OK.

Also, pegan's first post was two weeks before the Slovakia game, so I don't know how he managed to get into a position where he was getting confused?

You're too eager!
I put forward the motion that you are put at the bottom of the list and kept there to teach you a lesson:p

Worked fine for me as well (for the Slovak game) & thanks to Finn for managing to find me on Saturday and sorting me out !!!!! Out of interest, when will the waiting lists for Septembers away games be starting? I'm all booked up but after these two results I know the chances of getting any tix are slim and none .....

Don't think it will be too hard especially for Slovak game as they have very little home fans especially now as they are 4th in the group and have very little chance of qualifying. Czech match probably will be harder.

Anyway anyone know what time frame FAI will send out applications for these 2 games which I e-mailed them about 2 weeks ago???

Beats me why guys want to be first on the list before the FAI have even allocated tickets. Why not wait until you see how you get on there first and perhaps then look to other sources

dont put all your eggs in one basket, esp in the FAIs one, got screwed for stuttgart and id say there will be massive support travelling to these, the other fans are back on the bandwagon....climb aboard, last call for eastern europe!!!

Yeah maybe a weekly cleanup of all requests / offers that have been added to the list would keep the thread down to one concise page and prevent the common enough "where's the list ?" post from people only looking at the last page and not the first. Or at least maybe a week before the match ? It ends up a record of how the list was created which the list itself should just reflect. Although that does help resolve disputes sometimes !

The Liverpool fans forum www.rawk.co.uk (http://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/) has an excellent ticket exchange, complete with trade counts and feedback for each user who buys and sells. There's also a very efficient queuing system which is moderated by an individual moderator. Ticket exchange threads can only be started by this moderator as well, which prevents people starting threads themselves months in advance of games, just so they can be top of the list themselves....

For it to be done properly you'd have to have a dedicated and properly moderated Ticket Exchange section on here, not just a sticky thread thrown in another forum. It's a bit all over the shop at the moment here if u ask me. RAWK is defnately worth registering on if just for a look....:ball:
