I believe its about ten mins drive on the dublin side of wexford. By bus eireann bus its Waterford and then onto Wexford so about 5 days :) The supporters club are running a bus to this one, only members can travel.
I'm gonna go for a 1-0 Limerick away win, with it being a very tight game, not much chances either end, and us nicking a goal from a set piece.
Maybe we should set up a predictions league here lads?

Paddy pickpockets latest:
Limerick 6/4
Draw 11/5
Wexford 6/4
Predicting a draw, however Limerick to win 2-0 @ 10/1 is worth a fiver!

Has Conor Sinnott joined up with Wexford this season, I thought I saw Sinnott in one of the write-up's on the net when I was browsing their pages, wasn't overly impressed with him when he joined up with us last season..:ball:

He scored against Shels (?) in the first game of the season.

It was Monaghan he scored against in the first game. Played well in the home game against Cobh too. He's playing in the centre of a five man midfield, two defensive players behind him.
I'm a bit surprised that Wallace is playing him in the centre because he used to constantly criticise his club for playing him there. Wallace insisted he was a wide player wasted in a central role. the team is kind of built around him in the playmaker role. Seems to suit him so far.
He'll have a bit of a point to prove against Limerick too.

I always thought Sinnott was a fine player for Limerick. We could really do with him pulling the strings for us at the moment. :ball:

So six defenders with it very very narrow down the middle? Could cause our midfield some trouble the idea should be to push their wingers back on top of their full backs but their looking for a draw with that formation so ill go for a 0 0

Game over. Finshed 1-1. :) Good result which makes us second on our own. Goldbey scored first and then Wexford equalised. Wasn't there so no idea how we played.

One of the worst games i have witnessed in my entire LOI supporting life. Wind destroyed any chance of good football, wexford had it in the first half and after a lot of huff and puff hit the post once but that was it. Second half and it was all Limerick as Wexford deployed a 7 2 1 formation. Scrappy goal for the blues scored by unknown. And then the freakiest thing ever. Wexford went into our half  so shocked were the limerick players that they stood and watched as the player for wexford took the ball down and hammered it home. Dire game, great facilities for a start up club but the wex lads found touch more times the Ronan O'Gara in his entire career. We badly need a midfielder or two. Fyffe (did we need a goalkeeper) 6 Keady 6 Finnucane 6 Purcell 6 Buckley 5 Moroney 5 Molem 6 Waters 6 Rossi 4 Goldby 5 Moran 6. Subs Hayes for Molam (inj) and McCarthy for someone else it was that interesting. Ref had a mare for both teams too.

Yeah it was a pretty poor game alright. I thought we defended very well in the second half all things considered, and deserved to get a point. One of our subs Jason Murphy would have been clean through on goal after your centre half messed up, only he handled the ball.....so it could have been worse for ye!
Looks like ye have a decent back four though all the same, they weren't afraid to knock the ball around a bit and obviously knew what they were at.

Honestly, hand on heart, think that our back four are the best in this league

Yes definitely they are.
Early days I know but the stats support this, only 2 conceded whereas most others have let in 5 / 6/ 7 in four games.

Ammm id say yes it is too much to ask for with this current midfield we have. We have a full back and an outside left filling in those positions we just have to wait for the transfer window to get some in, but thats 8 weeks away :o

Absolutely disgraceful performance
Wexford are the worst football team I have ever seen in the League of Ireland. Coming away from there with anything less than three points should be a source of massive fcukin shame to the culprits. Some players there didn't fancy it one bit and it's not good enough when your playing against $hite like that which was put in front of us Sunday. By all means be lazy ****ers lads but try get two or three goals up first

Everyone on the squad last Sunday was from Wexford. We are a completely amateur side. Only 2 players had any any eL experience at all before this year, Shane Dunphy and Conor Sinnot. And they only had a handful of games each. The rest of the squad were playing local junior soccer last year.
What did you expect? Give us a year or two.

No other football club in the world can achieve that. Let's be realistic.
I'd be delerious with 1-0 wins for the rest of the season.
