There should be a link posted on this page for a stream for the match if you cannot get it on TV. (well I hope so anyway).

Well as everyone in Ireland can watch it on Irish TV anyway that does seem rather pointless, if not downright stupid (and mean). It would be interesting to know how many people use it. My guess would be zero.

I'm "working" with no access to TV so i'll be using it, as will a lot of other people where I work.

Set up a proxy server and make them think you are in Ireland.

I have tried to find these proxys for Ireland. They are very rare to find on the internet. Maybe if you get one for Uop north try this website http://www.xroxy.com/proxy-country-GB.htm

It has a WM and RP link to RTE. I presume it's available for those abroad. It's not working atm but will probably be up when the build up starts on RTE at 2.

How did everyone get on watching streams? the streams on livefooty.org, which are usually excellent for premiership games, were absolute tripe, obviously too many people were on so i had to watch it in 30 second spurts, then it would pause for 10 seconds then i would get another 30 seconds ... nightmare. I just listened to it on rte radio ... which was equally rubbish, i mean what the hell is Eoin hand doing commentating? he mumbles all the time and really doesnt have a breeze...
But i agree, the RTE streams should be accessible to people abroad, i mean only irish people are going to access them, right?

Well what you mean is that you won't be working during the match, in which case I would have thought it would be just as easy to watch a TV broadcast.
(Not to many people "work" on a Saturay anyway) The TV rights outside Ireland must be negligible anyway.
I am not sure which language the internet broadcast I watched was in, one of the Nordic type countries I would imagine (sounded that type). It's hard to imagine the match having any comercial value outside Ireland/Wales so why restict the audiance?

I used the third link on livefooty. I am not sure if they were all the same same stream via a different piece of display software (I already had Tvants). I experencied some problems too, usually at/after crucial moments (maybe because people used their computer at the time) however I though the more people the better? (Probably depends on the computers capabilities).
It's quite a problem if you don't have English commentary though as most of the 'green blobs' are even harder to identify then on a real TV. One solution would be to find a way of delaying the radio commentary (which usually 'needs' to be better than the TV one anyway) so it was in sync with the match rather than a few minutes ahead.

Because the match was also on Sky Sports so they wouldn't be allowed. They show Eircom league matches to those abroad...
Did you try the link I posted?

I almost certaintly did, I am not sure what the result was, I think it was either the same link (source material) or I tried it at half time and could not be sure if it was the Ireland match interval and so switched back (a couple I tried at half time showed skiing at that time but that might have just been in the interval, another showed the same channel, I think). I can't really remember which was which, either way the commentary would not have been in English. I think it was probably the same source. I ended up going back to the one I started with.

Does anyone know of any sites streaming the slovakia game tomorrow...dont say RTE as I am living in England!
I know http://www.live-footy.org/ has a link for it, and this site is usually pretty good for premiership games but I had real problems getting a reliable stream for the Wales game, so if anyone knows of any other options?
...2-0 Ireland:D

Wow ... why didnt i think of that?
it just happens that the England game is on at the same time so i cant watch it in the pub ... and im too poor to have sky sports.

I read it would be shown on channel CCTV5 after the England match, which is on ppmate, amongst others, which you can record from. That may well be better quality.
