Was away last weekend, but I haven't come across any combined figures for last week's attendances. Was the opening week increase maintained?

Given the FAI embargo on any news that isn't super-positive I think we can assume that if they don't announce the figure, it was down.

If they're so scared of publishing individual club figures they could at least stick to publishing the combined figure each week:rolleyes:

I'd say 1,000 to 1,500 at Bray v Bohs, with 60-40 in Bohs favour. Hard to tell from where I was standing though and not accounting for unmarked Bray fans among us.

Unfortunately that was probably the case. Although I'd put the figure close to 2,000.

Yeah about 15 of the Mad As Cootes the only people trying to get an atmosphere going but to be fair I had my hand over the micrphone slot for most of the match due to the rain that was constantly falling

Yeh,There was a few athlone fans on our side, about 20 young fellas that travelled on the bus and alot of other that came on cars. But over th other side there was a good 1,000-1,100 Kilkenny fans, and you can't really hear them because they weren't singing, and the ground is very open too so.There wasn't much atmosphere

There's already an attendances thread for guesstimates; no ifficial announcement was made by the FAI for week 2.

thedoyler - UCD v Rovers was reported as 3500, even though capacity in Belfield is only 2500. I wouldn't believe everything that's reporter!

2500 at Wexford

Looked a lot less to me tbh. What is the capacity of your ground? 4,000?

I'll give you the basis for my estimate, the 'new shed seats about 985, there were about 800 in the stand, over where the bohs fans were, that stand seats about 2550, there were at least 1250 people over that side and there were about 300-400 people behind the goals and dotted around the ground,
800+1250+350=2,400 approx that isnt far off i assure you.

About 3500 at the brandywell last night. Pats had about 40 fans up who made themselves heard.

The um hardcore support for want of a better term weren't allowed in to the Shed for the game

Couple that with the open nature of the Jacks and you do indeed have a morgue :o

Peeps - my compulsive-obsessive disorder is kicking in here...! :)

There's a well-established thread elsewhere for attendances. Can we all just us the one place for posting attendance estimates ?

Thanks.

This is the REAL attendances thread. The other one sold out its principles long ago and should therefore be ignored.

A ridiculous attempt at a "family" enclosure which happily failed :ball:

according to the figures released to the papers by the league, the combined attendances for both week 1 and 2 were up seventy-odd percent on the same time last year.
