yes, 100% FACT
Seeing as Johnny Mc will be under severe pressure this year to win a trophy, is is safe to asume that Kerr will just happen to be waiting in the wings to take over next season if there's no silverware?

Under pressure from who? Read the last paragraph of Kerr's interview in this morning's I.Times - "Not this year". Read all our predictions / hopes for this year before the season started - top four in the League. decent Cup run (without actually winning it cos we don't win the Cup), decent Setanta run.
None of that changes cos of yesterday's news. This is long term stuff we're looking at.
If we don't win at least 3 trophies this year - MCDONNELL OUT!
What do ye think it would take for McDonnell to be sacked?? Finishing outside top 4 or is he safe even then
Not sure. I think he should've been sacked the last couple of years
First ye takeover St Francis group. Now ye get taken over by Shelbourne group :p
Is new super dooper name going to be St Francis Athletic of Drumcondra?

Nice day for fishing eh
Look at the fans of the last surviving franchise having a go at us?!
Anyway the Francis thing never happened
Apologies if I've jumped the gun, just that I assumed you were paying more wages this season with the players you've brought in. Also, any Pats fan I know doesn't see J Mc been there after this season so I just put 2 and 2 together. I also know that most other fans at other clubs would expect to win something with the squad you have
No we're very short upfront. We've been saying for a while we're strong at the back and the midfield is class but we haven't enough of a squad to challenge strongly for a title. We're getting there though

lovely piece of after timing there
I didn't notice many fans of other clubs tipping us to win anything in the two pre seasons thread on this board
nor did I see the prices on pats winning anything slashed dramatically to favourites in any market
these fans of other clubs are a funny lot
Apologies again for not realising all EL fans use this forum
BTW I got slated for tipping us for third place...
