Craig Levine was also there looking at O'Donavan, but was more impressed with kirby and pats in general as was overheard saying "its a pity i didnt see him when he was 19 not 29.."
Kirby could really have put Cowdenbeath on the map back then.

Bitter Cork fans......well i never.

I bet theres a split some fans admit to being outplayed by a decent side, others post here :D

Its very odd tho we nearly always beat Cork yet they get upset when we actually outplay them and play attacking passing football to do it.

Btw that was me shouting HOOF everytime a Cork player got the ball, the fact they did in fact HOOF it makes me wonder .......

I'll admit Waterford could be bottom of the 1st division & still beat us at the RSC. The locals play like its their World Cup Final.

Note to other LOI fans criticising CCFC sales.
- I will listen to you when you turn down any offers from foreign clubs assuming you have any players (this side of 30) good enough to attract attention.
- Alan Bennet was sold for LOI record.
- Record bid (above Bennets) for Roy O'Donovan was rejected by CCFC.

Good business by Cork, sell off your best player and keep O'Donovan?!?

Bennett is better than any player left at the club

Oh right.
Okay so.
And also losing a match in the Setanta is far worse than losing a league match.
Really, it's silly season in Inchicore.
If ye were that good, ye wouldn't be wetting yourselves at your performance.
Incidentally, this is looking a bit ironic now.

Hey add least we are adding to our squad not letting people go for a little bit of money to pay are crocked former internationls who in the Past 4 years have done nothing.

Bennett is better than any player left at the clubAt centre half maybe but he wasn't great in midfield (og from the halfway line vs Rovers in the cup).
Guess you can only really praise the players once they have left the club. its a start Dodge.

You wont improve, simple as that. Kirby doesn't have a season in him and he'll be suspended for a large part of it anyway. Ndo will fool some of you with his aimless runs but he's as bad as McCourt for being a waster in too many games. Gary O'Neill is always a threat but he'll break under the pressure, when the expectation of the fans gets to him.

You won't improve, simple as that. O'Flynn doesn't have a season in him and he'll be injured for a large part of it anyway. Kearney will fool some of you with his aimless runs but he's as bad as McCourt for being a waster in too many games. Denis Behan is always a threat...ah here, I can't keep a straight face any longer! :D

We defended solidly for 84 minutes, had a minority of possession but at least had the wit to do something with it and scored a couple of class goals. If Cork fans think being beaten comnfortably at home by the likes of us is nothing to get worked up about, fine. Just don't call US the deluded ones though.

Really, it's silly season in Inchicore.

You're right there!!

- Bought McDowells
- SHELBOURNE are in the sh!ts
- The three kings of Inchicore - Ndo, O'Neill and Kirby arrive just in time for 6th January
- Got in the setanta because SHELBOURNE are in this sh!ts
- SHELBOURNE are $H€L€GAT€D
- Win our opening three games of the season scoring 8 goals, 6 of which come from the three kings of Inchicore
- Announce that Brian Kerr is returning to the club as Director of Football
- Announce that Garrett Kelleher of SHELBOURNE DEVELOPMENT is buying the club and developing Richmond Park into a modern stadium
- what next?...invite to the UEFA cup maybe at the expense of SHELBOURNE?

I like silly season!!

i dont know. not sure who made that claim. some of the figures being touted in the media certainly would have eclipsed 450k anyway, even before "bonus" payments. i've a feeling they found the story in the same orifice as yourself though. ;)

Flicked over to Burton Sombody vs Forest Green in the English fifth division for the sake of comparison, the teams in the Brit game were both more prepared to pass it around and keep possession but showed far less ability/ambition on the ball. They'd have had no chance of living with Fahey or Ndo IMO.

Note to Cork fans, I know you don't get to see many away games but if you did you'd realise it's common place for the home team to have most of the ball, it's the job of the away team to limit the number of chances/shots on goal and to make their possession count, as Dolo said last night ''Pats were brilliant''

Des Byrne undisclosed transfer fee (http://www.kickinmagazine.ie/desbyrne-2472000.htm)

Alan Bennet undisclosed fee (http://www.rte.ie/sport/2007/0129/bennett.html)

I see more "away" games than home games.

Pats are not league winners yet just like City haven't become useless overnight either.

IMO Ndo will miss more games for Pats due to injury this season than O'Flynn.
