Between Sligo and Limerick fans trolling and over the top personal abuse of players by our own someone needs to sort it out or close down the whole forum until a new mod is appointed.

Posting a complaint about Galway moderators in the Galway forum isn't the brightest move.
If you have a specific complaint about a moderator, a post or a thread, please make it. Posting this kind of vague complaint isn't going to achieve anything.

I wouldn't listen to Galway fans for a while anyway, they're still shellshocked from their harsh introduction to the Premier. Am I trolling in the support section for pointing that out?

Jebus
If the forum is open - it's open,. You are free to post what you like, where you like. I wouln't be in favour of denying you the right to your view at all.
And we are free to make up our minds about it...
Glad to see your Galway connections have given you a great start to your new campaign notwithstanding the missed penalty. However, I expect the other Galway based First Division side to get the better of you for your home debut.:D

Might want to ask your mod (GalwayFrancis I believe) about whether or not I'm allowed post anywhere I like, I was banned from your thread for something ridiculous a while back

This from a supporter of a team including Stephen O'Flynn, John Lester and Ciaran Foley? Shame I can't say your Limerick connections got your team off to the same great start

On the subject of mods the Wexford Youths section needs one. It's a bit all over the place at the moment and the club info section needs to be fixed up.

Nominations always welcome, albeit in a dedicated thread.
The Limerick Galway spat is almost casting a shadow over Rovers Boez threads...so a mod is certainly needed :(

Welcome Back Terry. No disrespect to your interim replacement, but it's fair to say you were missed.
Some of the stuff in recent weeks has been, at best in bad taste, and at worst bitter, twisted and sad.
I was laughed at last week for suggesting a line of positive support for our own guys. Some people saw it as an attempt to stifle free speech, but nothing could be further from my intentions.
However, some of the nasty stuff needs serious and prompt pruning.
Thanks for taking it on again.
True Blue is obviously a supporter of an another LOI team trying to wind everyone up.

This forum is in danger of becoming one big slagging match between Juvenile Sligo, Limerick and GUFC supporters. There has been several pages of crap posted since Fridays game including a fresh one on Limerck pages. Conor H, Gilberto, Gaillimh Al and others please dont respond to these ****e posts as its ruining it for the rest of your fellow supporters on foot.ie. These guys are winding ye up just dont reply at all then maybe the trolling will stop along with the WUMS

Sorry Jebus - Bit late getting back to you on this.
AFAIK - O'Flynn is from Mallow, north Cork, Foley is from the Aran Islands, off county Clare, but administratively in County Galway and Lester is a dyed-in-the-wool Dub. Meantime Ski 'though from Sligo, spent many successful years with us, and remains our all time leading scorer, David Goldbey and Nigel Keady gave great service to us and I hope they do the same for you. And Ski spent a long time trying to persuade a few other Galwegians to head south. AFAIK - he hasn't given up. I'm not shy about the fact that our loss is your gain, although this is defineitly more true of your midlands promotion rivals. Also, you forgot about Shane Tracy who has joined us from Wembley Rovers via Arsenal. I hope he proves to be as good a signing from Limerick as we've ever had. In the early years we had brilliant Limerick based players including Dessie Kennedy and Georgie Quinlivan. Bobby Ryan did well for us too and was a major loss when he went to Bohs. If Shane delivers half as much as those boys did, we'll have had another major Limerick success story in Galway.

Foley spent his teenage years in Limerick at least, and came up through the Limerick ranks, Lester was taken directly from Limerick FC, and O'Flynn has only ever reached anywhere near his vast potential whilst playing for Limerick FC, hence my Limerick connections remark, I stand by it. I did forget about Shane Tracy, apologises

I am a regualr reader but an infrequent contributor to the various threads on foot.ie.
What I enjoy about the forum is hearing other contributors inputs in relation to our squad / our performances and our expectations for the matches just gone or ones that lie ahead.
Too often threads go off on tangents of slagging between various clubs / petty quibbles etc.
The one thing all supporters have is a desire to see Galway United do the best they possibly can in the Premier League.
So lets try and keep the content of the threads consistent with the title and if people wish to add another topic then open another thread for your topic.
Come on United

I'm not gone MyTown, my internet is broken at the moment, so I havent been able to moderate the forum. Thankfully Terry is back and hopefully Smart Telecom will sort out their service asap!

Jebus is banned from the GUFC forum so I dont think anyone here has to worry about him here unless people go looking for him personnally. The only reason he has a post in the thread is because his post was transferred here from another forum.
