Just in case anyone is feeling optimistic that we are going to qualify, the first batch of tickets are now on sale until the end of March. If you opt for the "follow your team" tickets and opt to pay by bank transfer no money will be taken if we do not qualify. Its done on a lottery system as usual and winners will be notified in early May. At that stage we will have another two wins under our belts. If we are out of the running at that stage you can just cancel your application. I know its unlikely we will qualify, but still worth a shot as you lose nothing if we don't qualify

Applied myself for the tickets a few days ago, they expect to have to run a ballot to determine who gets the tickets, UEFA expect demand to outstrip supply by 6 to 1 .
As long as i get my tickets for Ireland in the final i will be happy;)

i noticed that they went on sale myself. i was going to apply but i was wondering if and that is a very big if we do qualify how difficult would it be to get tickets through the fai. the website says that the national soccer associations will get tickets. i was too young for previous tournaments so i have no idea what my chances would be in getting them off the fai. any ideas?

uefa2008.com

it might not work during your lunch hour though - heavy traffic crashed it last week. Better to try in the evening.

Your best bet is to click the option for bank transfer.Your application will go through without having to give your account details. Your bank details will only be taken when the lottery for tickets is completed and if you are successful.

Where's the option for bank transfer?? As far as I can see the only option is to pay by mastercard. There is no bank transfer option..... I chose the FMT Tournament option...

edit: Mastercard only for FMT Tournament cos of reimbursment issues......
